More About the Author

I am a native Rhode Islander, living in the Green Country of eastern Oklahoma with my husband, a retired Navy commander/pro golfer/vintage car rebuilder. I've traveled extensively throughout the United States while raising four sons. Chet and I now enjoy our grown men and their families, including twelve grandchildren.

After working as an NSA intelligence analyst and a children's librarian, I established a career as a fiction writer. Over the years, I've published many short stories, both romance and fantasy. Several of them have been collected in an anthology, OTHER WORLDS. My young adult novel, COURT OF HONOR, won the Romance Writers of America's Golden Heart Award and is now available as an ebook as well as print. EARTH MAGIC, a young adult fantasy novel, was the Oklahoma Writers Federation's Best Juvenile Book of 2002. I have also written two children's picture books and a paranormal romance novel, DREAMTIME. My latest project is a YA fantasy trilogy. The first book, SECRET OF THE CRYSTAL DRAGON, will be released by Dragonfly Publishing in the Spring 2013.

This book was well written and was very entertaining. The lead character, Becky, showed a lot of courage and drive. I look forward to the sequel!

Format: Paperback
Young teenage girls should enjoy the story of Becky Walden. Just prior to the start of her junior year in high school, Becky learns that her father has been transferred. Through long hours of practice, Becky has made herself ready to assume a starting position on her high school basketball team. Now she has to begin all over again. Though sure of her talent, Becky tries to make her introduction to the new basketball team as inconspicuous as possible
