5.0 out of 5 stars ONE OF THE BEST OF ITS KIND THAT I HAVE READ - KEEPER, May 14, 2007

(REAL NAME)
This review is from: Courtship, Montana Style (Harlequin American Romance) (Mass Market Paperback)
We have a runaway bride [good for her]- Elizabeth Tilden and her little daughter, Suzanne. She is afraid that she is going to ruin her brother, Robert's political asperations.

A write up about a man commenting that he could use a housekeeper at the Double O Ranch in Montana.

you will love all of these nick-names
Oliver Oakes left his ranch to his 3 adopted sons.
Walker "Sharpy" Oakes - he manages the Double O for his "brothers".
Speed is the foreman [because he is slow] he helped raise and educate Walker.

Walker has 3 teenage boys working for him during the summer [and they are hularious] There is Donald "Scotty" MacLeod - Arnold "Fridge" Bullock - Chad "Bean Pole" Stringer when Lizzie "Slick" Thomas shows up with Suzanne "Susie-Q".
Then another boy is dropped on the Double O - Frankie "Chicago" Morisi - he wants to run but finally decides to stick around.

Poor ole Slick can't cook or run a vacuum but she can ride a horse and connect with the boys. With Walker too. She is not a whiner and is willing to learn. Of course, she brought enough money with her.

Check out her problems with the ex-bride-groom, Vermon. Not Susie-Q's father.
Ah yes, the Oakes brothers show up - Dr. Rory "Swift Eagle"/"Bird Brain" Oakes is the veterinarian and then Sheriff Eric Oakes helps Walker track down the elusive license plate. Why? Lizzie shows up in a BMW.
Can't remember if Eric got a nick-name.

The characters are great - the plot and tensions excellent for the story - and the PMS is not made the center of the story - although Walker does take Lizzie to a "bordello"
Then trouble surfaces when Scotty's mother calls and the four boys take off which leads to some interesting developments.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED --M - These three books should be keeper if the other 2 are as good as this one -- #980 + #984

The story moved fast and the characters were very sweet. If you like reading about cowboys, this is a wonderful story.
