This review is from: Covenant and Creation: A Theology of the Old Testament Covenants (Biblical and Theological Classics Library, Vol. 12) (Paperback)
Dumbrell's work on the convenant and its development through the Older Testament is thoughtful, thorough and packed with rich insights at every turn. One cannot but be helped and stimulated by his exegetical treatment of text after text. He admirably succeeds in showing how the covenant flows out of God's creative acts, develops in history, anticipates and leads on to the new covenant and awaits its climax in the eschaton. Some books are worthy of consideration others of study- Dumbrell's work clearly belongs to the latter class.
