This review is from: Cover The Earth! (Audio CD)
After 12 long years of silence Tesco Vee is back with his band of "young & sexy 20 somethings" to tear it apart again. Who would have thought that The Meatmen's new album would be covers?
Cover The Earth tackles Tesco Vee's favorite songs of the 60s, 70s, and 80s. He coveres everything from GG Allin to Jerry Lee Lewis and his favorite band ABBA. This album has an old school low-fi quality to it and a lot of songs could definitely have been by The Meatmen as they make them their own on this record. I saw Tesco Vee & company in Seattle recently and he stated that there would be a new album of originals coming next, plus part 2 of the Devil's in the Details DVD. Tesco Vee is more relevant than ever and there was never a better time to come out of hibernation than now, especially with all the bland releases coming out these days. He does a whole lot more singing on here than he ever did but still has his trademark snarl. Surprise release of 2009 He's a Rock N Rollin' Juggernaut...IN YOU'RE FACE!
