Whoah.,

Out of pure boredom I was typing in random words with dot com after them into the address bar. Someone on the tv in the background called someone else a bastard so I typed bastard.com. A black page loaded up with a small star at the bottom, so I clicked it and found my new favorite band. A couple tracks were like something from Sepultura's Roots album, only they actually sound nothing like Sepultura...like Alice In Chains and Megadeth and Marilyn Manson and Our Lady Peace and none of them. A new trip. A new sub-genre maybe, lesscore. I haven't heard a band that really grabbed my attention like this since Into Eternity's first album, but this is nothing like I.E. either.

After reading JoyBuzzards' review, I feel the same. I too was looking at random words and typing them in to see where they went. I was looking for websites for me to register however. Then I typen in Bastard. Same thing, balck page, red cross. Went right to the LESS page. This band rules. Its nice to have something new to listen to again. So mich of the crap on MTV sounds the same, that is if MTV even plays music anymore.
Seriously support this band before they stop and never make it to point that people know them as well as Tool and others.

Forgotten gem for fans of dark acoustic sound,

Most overlooked record of 2004. If you loved AIC "Jar of Flies" it's 100% chance you want this one, too. Although Cover Protective Individual definitely is not for everybody fans of heavy and melodic stuff like Tool or APC will dig it. It's meditative and somber. Warm and dark at the same time. Beautiful.
Starvation, Hey - buried vocals and Spanish licks. Flightline - my favourite, gives me creeps. Down on the dead - more experimental approach. All is well - could be a cover of Dead Can Dance it is sooo haunting. Every song from this LP is unique and interesting in its own way. I've been waiting impatiently for their another record. They are my favourite band together with Isis and Aerogramme at the moment.
