Exposes the truth behind the OK city bombing,
By A Customer
This review is from: Cover-Up In Oklahoma -plus- Testimonial of Murrah Bombing Survivor: Jane Graham [VHS] (VHS Tape)
Dispite poor production quality, this video utilizes news footage brilliantly, replaying the initial news coverage that was broadcast immediately after the explosion. By using sources that were so close to the story, the producers make their point quite convincingly that there were others involved in the OK city bombing. Quite possibly people from out own govt. Some great footage -- editing just okay,

This video seems to be the work of an amateur videographer who put this together for -- I believe -- a noble cause. He definitely exposes a coverup in the Oklahoma City Bombing, but because of when this video was finished (within the first few months of the incident, I think, prior the McVeigh's trial), there is very little information about the aftermath. The video shows you again and again that multiple bombs were reported by seemingly every major news source, and does an excellent job of convincing you that many bombs were planted in the Murrah building. There is even an interview with a demolitions specialist that proves that the "single bomb" theory concocted by the government could not have worked. In this regard, the video is worth seeing if you have any questions about those issues. However, this video does not go into other details of the incident -- there is almost no information about Timothy McVeigh or his trial and execution. On a creative note: the video is sometimes hard to watch because it is roughly edited, and repeats itself many times over. Again, if you need to be convinced about the multiple bombs, get this video. At the end of the tape there is also an interview with a woman who survived the incident. The purpose of her testimony is so that she can point out two men who were shown in a news clip who she thinks might have something to do with the bombing. This interview is not professionally done and is not dramatically interesting. But if eyewitness knowledge about two suspicious characters is useful for your investigation, then it is certainly worth watching. She gives specific details of these men, and what they did prior to the bombing in the Murrah building that might be helpful for somebody tracking down bits and pieces of information to prove or disprove a theory. All in all, I am thankful to the producer for doing this work and informing the public -- I only wish he might have had the funding and/or support to have produced a more thorough and polished testimony.

Does the US Government Need a Climate of Fear?,

This review is from: Cover-Up In Oklahoma -plus- Testimonial of Murrah Bombing Survivor: Jane Graham [VHS] (VHS Tape)
This video provides great source material on the Oklahoma bombing. The notion the United States government is willing to stand by and let Americans be killed was supported in the October, 28 1993 New York Times article "Tapes Depict Proposal to Thwart Bomb Used in Trade Center Blast" by Ralph Blumenthal, which describes the FBI informant Emad A. Salem complaining about the government failure to stop the World Trade Center bombing. The article notes, "Law-enforcement officials were told that terrorists were building a bomb that was eventually used to blow up the World Trade Center, and they planned to thwart the plotters by secretly substituting harmless powder for the explosives..." At one point in some taped transcripts, Mr. Salem recounts a conversation he said he had with FBI agent Mr. Anticev, saying ,"I said 'Guys, now you both saw this bomb went off and you both know that we could avoid that.'" Mr. Salem just couldn't understand why the FBI let the blast go off. The Oklahoma and World Trade Center blasts helped protect the budgets of America's security apperatus, which were threatened after the colapse of the Soviet Union. Remember the 'Peace Dividend'? Remember the search for a new mission for all those security agencies? END

How soon we forget... fact-filled (and conspiracy-filled - mostly by the government) account of events in OKC. How McVeigh the patsy was railroaded. For JFK and 9-11 true believers, this is old hat. Like the '30-foot' crater in the road (which never existed), the never-again mentioned multiple bombs in the building. The fact that only 40 psi would have been produced by the truck bomb at the point where the pillars collapsed. The suspicious activity preceeding (just like the WTC). Not to mention the juror who wouldn't give up and supposedly committed suicide (he was shot with two different guns and dragged through a field, according to the autopsy). Does this stuff ever end??? Are the real guilty ever going to be held accountable? You decide.

Cover Up in Oklahoma is a low-budget, amateurish documentary (produced by Jerry Longspaugh of the Citizens Information Network in Ft. Worth, Texas ) that attempts to prove that the official version of the bombing of the Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City on April 19, 1995, is simply not true. The low technical quality of the video and the lack of professional editing, while sometimes annoying, are easily forgivable and do not detract from the message of the documentary itself. Consisting largely of local breaking news clips from that fateful morning and video testimony from bombing experts and survivors of the attack, the documentary succeeds in getting its point across quite well.
The first section, lasting 25 minutes, of this documentary is of little value, in my opinion. We are shown numerous local news reports from that morning talking about undetonated bombs found in the building and reporters talking about the blast having "blown out" walls and windows inside. It is a commonly known fact that initial reports of a major breaking news event such as this are notoriously unreliable. The narrator condemns the media for changing its story - ostensibly due to government misinformation - in the hours following the bombing, having made the cardinal mistake of believing any and all initial reports to be substantiated facts. Additionally, one can hardly expect a harried news reporter trying to describe this type of devastation for saying walls and windows were "blown out" - even if they had been blown in, only an expert would be able to make that distinction on the fly. The second section features excerpts from an interview with Retired Brigadier General Benton K. Partin, who explains why - in his expert opinion - a truck bomb could not have caused the damage to the Murrah Federal Building, in terms of both the order of magnitude and the pattern of destruction. His analysis leads him to conclude that the truck bomb was designed to divert attention from four demolition charges that went off inside the building. Several engineers were also cited for their belief that only explosions from within the building could have blown out the building's support columns. We also hear from survivors who described the building shaking up to six seconds before the loud explosion (of the truck bomb) took place. The final section of the documentary consists of two different video affidavits from Jane Graham, a HUD employee who survived the bombing. She describes a number of suspicious men she saw inside the Murrah Federal Building in the days preceding the bombing, including Timothy McVeigh (one of her co-workers saw McVeigh with John Doe #2). She saw McVeigh on the 9th floor, which is particularly odd given that this floor pretty much belonged to the ATF. The most intriguing of her sightings, though, was of three strangers in the basement; these men had wiring and some other material, along with plans of the building - and they were arguing. Once they saw her looking at them, they hastily stashed the materials away. I don't believe this documentary proves the existence of a cover-up in the bombing, but it does raise some intriguing questions. General Partin's analysis of the bombing is rather compelling, but I do have a problem with the rough editing of that video - and one cannot overlook the fact that he is conducting his analysis based on secondhand videos and images of the destruction. Jane Graham, for her part, certainly sounds sincere and one has to wonder why - if true - investigators seemingly ignored all of the information she gave them concerning the presence of suspicious workmen in the Murrah Federal Building immediately prior to the bombing. Don't look for much information on McVeigh and any possible accomplices here, as McVeigh himself is hardly mentioned. This documentary's focus is mainly on the explosion mechanics, much more so than on the men responsible for it.

This movie is a must if you are showing people about how our government works, it is much easier to get someone to watch a video than to read a book.It asks many questions that should be investigated by Congress and then answered but unfortunately, what are the chances of that. |
