Brad says: the cover that is pictured going to be the final cover for the book? I hope not because it looks tacky compared to the simple elegance of the Japanese version. :-/

Actually, I'm liking it more than the Japanese version. The art looks great in the cover ^^

It does look pretty tacky compared to the nice minimalistic design of the Japanese version. I'm kind of disappointed, but overall, $20 for an official English translation is still a damn steal.

Yeah...I guess I will get over it. XD

I agree. The Japanese cover was beautiful. This one looks like a tacky children's book. My current thought is that it could possibly just be a dust jacket, and we'll get the gorgeous hardcover underneath. *crosses fingers*

Speaking from the perspective of a commercial printing specialist (worked in prepress for 5 years) I can say with confidence that the images shown for the cover very likely do not convey the quality of the cover. Color, texture, foil stamping, and the contrast between these elements would not translate well to a digital image.

Keep the faith! Im sure the cover will be of excellent quality.

Don't judge a book by its cover :)

no ones judging the book, just its cover, we all want it badly.

Agreed. I can't wait to get this book. However, the quality of the cover will likely decide whether it goes on the shelf with my other collectible books, or on display on top of the shelf. Either way I'm gonna love the book, but obviously having a beautiful cover would be a welcome bonus.

I hope the cover they have on display right now isn't the actual cover. The Japanese one is really cool, but I think the coolest would be a simple really dark green with a golden Hylian Crest stamped/embezzled into the cover with some cool border surrounding it, kinda like the Collectors Editions of the Legend of Zelda Prima Game Guides. Those are FANTASTIC!

I'm actually digging this cover more than the Japanese one. This is much better than the temporary cover with 25th anniversary art on it. The green just screams Link and the gold foil just looks better on green anyway. Just getting my opinion out there.

The new cover loos cool!

I have the Japanese version but I cant read the text so I'll get this one too cause

Also this one has better cover, its GREEN which quite identic to Link and Hyrule. :D. The Japan version has no artwork, it just plain brown without any texture.

The Japanese one looks like it was trying to imitate a simple leather book, but I have not see a physical copy of the book, so I wouldn't really know.
I too like this book cover. It seems more mystical with the artwork. Like a spell book.

As someone who has seen the actual book (I work in a place where they have these being stashed waiting release date) the cover is VERY nice, and is quite elegantly textured so you have a nice bas relief effect going on. I won't say it's the highest quality, but it definitely is worth the <20$ ticket price
