I have posted this everywhere because I really love it!!!

I was a loyal user of Lash Out. I have very thin and short lashes and Lash Out would make them longer and fuller. One of my co-workers has the longest and fullest lashes I've ever seen, so I asked her what mascara she used and she told me Lashblast in black. Of course, after many years of using the same mascara I was a little hesitant, so I decided to do some research. There are some bad reviews about it but most of them are great, so I decided why not give it a try. What do I have to lose? $6.00 at the local pharmacy? So I got it and I do not regret it. I get so many compliments and a few people have asked me if I am wearing fake lashes. This is a fantastic product, it washes off easily and makes my lashes look fuller and longer than ever without making them feel heavy or lumpy. The brush is big but I love it because it covers more and faster. My eyes are very sensitive and I have not problems whatsoever with it running or irritating my eyes. My tip to applying this mascara is to have your eyes semi closed while pushing the brush up. I apply about two coats, wait a few seconds and apply an extra coat. With my other mascara I had to apply it about 6 times on each eye. I have recommended it to everyone I know and the ones that have bought it love it as well. Get it, and if you don't like it you can always return it. Yep, you can return makeup if you buy it at your local chain Pharmacy, not sure if I can mention their names here but one starts with CV, and the other one with Walg. :oP

I've been using this mascara for a few years now, but I'm probably going to switch after my current bottle runs out. I've liked it, but I'm 16 and when I started using this a couple years ago I wasn't really concerned with researching my makeup or anything (which I now do a little obsessively). Basically the good things about it are that it really does volumize your lashes and it rarely gets chunky unless you put a ton on. I've found, though, that it's kind of like a natural looking volume, so it's good for wearing to school/work, but if you want a more dramatic lash, I think that would be more easily achieved with another product (I'm pretty sure this is a run-on sentence, sorry). It doesn't stay looking completely fresh all day as it does smudge a tiny bit, but it's not noticeable to other people. For the most part, I think it's a really good everyday mascara if you're going to take the time to touch up every two hours. Unfortunately I don't really get a chance to or like touching up my makeup at school, so that's why I'm probably going to switch. However, I've also tried the waterproof version and it does last longer than this.

So Oprah's show (i.e. Gayle) endorsed this product on the "Favorite Things for Summer 2008" episode, so I ASSUME they've actually tested it themselves. Now, I seriously doubt that assumption. I bought it, because the claim made was that it would not smudge, and some other nonsense about scientists and polymers or something. It's also not supposed to be gloppy or whatever the word is that describes the balls of goo that most mascaras leave on your lashes.
OK, technically, the no smudging claim is true. It's more of a gradual, chunky, flake-off situation. By the end of my 8 hour (sitting at a desk) workday, the junk is just flaked all over my eyes. It's even flaked INTO my eyes which is near impossible to get out without some kind of science lab eye irrigator. Maybe that's why they needed the scientist to endorse this stuff. It's horrible and am annoyed that I trusted Oprah's show on this one. I should have known better.

I bought this item after seeing and feeling the brush on display at the store, and seeing the beautiful lashes on the commercials. I love the brush! It did take a little getting used to, but overall I think it's the best brush ever, there's no clumping on the bristles, and the small amount product on the end of the brush doesn't leave lumps of product on your lashes like most brushes do! The other reviewers are correct that pumping the brush is unnecessary! I only use one coat, seems to do well enough for me. I don't use an eyelash curler or anything with it, and I do notice thickening of each lash and good separation of the lashes, resulting in close-to-the-commercial results. If I had to have a complaint with this product, it is that when it gets wet and runs down your cheeks, be prepared for the fight of your life to get all of it off. (Hint: The quicker you act, the better!) I'll continue to buy this exact mascara until I die, or until they quit making it! Try it, you'll love it!

I bought this because of the reviews. I thought I'd give it a try since it was inexpensive. I hate this mascara. I need to wear waterproof to keep from smudging (I like to keep my eye area moisturized at all times, so regular mascara does not work), but I had no idea that the waterproof mascara settled like cement and does not come off easily--even WITH waterproof makeup remover. The amount of remover and time needed to remove this mascara is not worth it. It also caused me to lose some lashes because the lashes stuck so hard together and pulled on each other during removal. I will not be buying this ever again.

On another note, the size of the application wand is ridiculous. It is so fat and distributes so much mascara that it makes it impossible to have "natural looking" lashes. Mascara is supposed to enhance the natural lash, not make it look like spiders resting on your eyelids. And the worst part of all is that it smudges big time. I don't understand how it can smudge yet settle on the lashes like cement. I'm going back to my Maybelline mascara: Maybelline New York Full 'N Soft Waterproof Mascara, Very Black 311, 0.28 Fluid Ounce. The wand is very thin and applies just enough to keep that natural look or allow for a more intense look with layering. It's also easy to coat the lower lashes because the wand can literally sweep below the lash because it is so thin. I deviated from this particular mascara because it comes in a very skinny tube and does not give the impression that you are getting your money's worth because it appears that you don't get a lot of product in the tube. However, after trying some other brands, it's worth it for me to go back to the Maybelline and be happy with the overall look and feel.

Others seem to really like this mascara. It might work for you, but it does not work for me.
