This productions covers a lot more than health and fitness. Bailey talks about everything from his childhood to funny food myths to his peers at MIT. His reading is lively and silly, even using fake foreign accents to entertain the listener. He uses music effectively and frequently to separate the brief stories. This tape series was enlightening and extremely useful. As a professional athlete, I found Bailey's understanding and approach to the facts about fitness outstanding, motivating and, above all, useful. He starts at the fundamental level and works his way up. This is a "Fitness 101" for anyone who wants to understand the way our body works with regards to metabolism, fitness, weightloss and nutrition. It was a breakthrough for me.

Covert Bailey IS fitness!!! He blows all of the nonsense hype about fad diets and exercise out of your mind and replaces it with the truth! I own every product he has ever sold and I never get tired of them. The Total Body Power series is the best yet. I especially enjoy Christina Bailey's (Covert's daughter) workout. It's fun and effective. Covert Bailey's Total Body Power Program is the only library of fitness information you will ever need!!!!

Lets say I am in the right field to judge whether this type of information is correct.
...cuz I am...

I recall him from his PBS days and had recently been reintroduced to what he has to say, through his older items. I was amazed as to how "CORRECT" what he teaches , still is. There is information in his books and tapes that is not only "correct" but even now is generally unknown by the lay health field folks.

My only complaint - if someone had me in a death grip and was FORCING me to say something negative, would be that for a man with his educational background (which is impressive), he "dumbs down" his speech style and speaks to the "average guy". (which I am sure is his INTENT ...so what can I say there...)
