This is a great little trail camera, I have been using Trail Camera for about 6 years now. I have 4 units total, I have sold two of these units and replace them with the DLC Covert II Assassins. The battery life on these units are 1st in any class of trial camers, I have been running my unit for 2 months now and have taker over 3000 pictures and 500 video clips, I am still using the original batteries I put in the untit when I got it. I believe this unit could last over a year on 1 set of batteries, when taken limited pictures or video. I have not seen another trail camera that will even come close to this. It also takes great pictures day and night. I have two of these units and another one on the way....... I've never had to use it but have been told fist hand this product has execellent service if you ever need to use it.

I recently received the DLC Covert II as a Christmas gift. The video mode worked fine, but the units camera mode was malfunctioning. I emailed DLC and their response was immediate and positive. The employee apologized for my problem and asked me to return the defective unit, stating they would send me a new 'tested' camera unit at once. There was no hesitation. A friend of mine has had a DLC Covert camera for about 2 years. He loves it. His has never let him down. I have seen his photos and videos. I think this is a great camera. I was dissappointed by receiving the defective unit, but hey, stuff happens. At least they are making it 'right', no questions asked. That's pretty rare nowadays.

I purchased this camera 14 months ago,I used it for driveway security mainly while away and it worked fine for as little as I used it.The unit started draining new batteries dead in a couple days. Called Covert and was told this model is no longer made and there are no spare parts available to repair it. Best they could do is give me 25% off a new one.Big deal,now I'm out $200 and they expect me to spend another $175 for something else they will not be able to repair.I own two Covert trail cams and will never own another.

I have been using this camera for a month now and it has met all of my expectations. It is on the smaller size as compared to many cameras and was easy to mount using the supplied "belt and buckle. The camera has taken very clear daylight photos with good color and acceptable night photos. Where I have it placed most of the animals triggering it at night are between 15 to 20ft away. At this distance the photos are quite grainy but I can see enough detail to see the rack if any. The few photos that were at a distance of about 10 feet were much clearer and I would rate them as "good". There is a lag time between when the camera senses an object and actually snaps the photo. What this delay is I don't really know. Actually it could be the second shot that's delayed. That said I'm happy with my choice of this camera and think most people would be.

We have tried so many different cameras and lucked up running across these cameras. Bought them from a dealer that had them sitting on the shelf forever. We had seen them sitting there for a long time. Have been discusted with all the other cameras and decided to try these. We bought the only three he had and have had them in the woods for over 1 year and have not changed the batteries. Cameras work excellent!!!! Last week two of them got stolen. We have some people recommending other cameras and we are ordering the DLC Coverts. We also have others in the field along with these, but they don't compare. Can't beet this camera. Ours have taken thousands of pictures.

Comes with a weird little remote to program it. Only worked once for me, and then it failed. Camear light stuck on while camera was in the "off" position. It never produced any images - just corrupt SD cards. Hoping to be able to get my money back, but the seller here on Amazon has a pretty poor return policy.

I'll stick with Bushnell Trophy Cams!

The setup for the camera was as easy as described. Inserted the batterries, connected the remote, entered the settings I wanted and hung it on the tree. When I returned a few days later I was pleasantly surprised. As compared to a couple other IR cams I have tried the flash range at night was fantastic. I had very clear night time pics, and the daytime pics were amazing in full color. I have an issue at first light in the morning, and last light in the evening where the pics are almost completely whited out. It lasts for a matter of minutes so its not that big of deal to me. I also have the cam set in a thick pine forest so light has been an issue with 2 other IR cams I have tried in there. The battery life was incredible. I put the cam out in the beginning of January and when I pulled it in the first week of February with a couple thousand pictures taken it still had full battery power. The temps had been around freezing during the day, and well under at night. Impressive both for the batteries and for the reaction time of the camera in that I never seemed to miss opportunities for pictures, even with the cold temps. Overall Great camera so far, I can't wait to use it for a full season. My older flash cam with the "D" batteries will never see the woods again.

5. One of the camera keyboard (controller) misfunctioned and they sent me a new one very quick.

Only one problem.....
I bought 2 cameras and then 5 more. The link of the 2 purchase and the look of the 7 cameras are both the same. But the keyboard and function are different. The big difference is the first 2 cameras can set start and shut down time everyday (set camera schedule) but the later 5 cannot. Second, the later 5 cameras can use 4gb sd card but the first 2 can support only 2gb. How strange....

we have now purchased three of these cameras for wildlife as well as using them for security. The product is easy to program, remove/install the SD card etc. Have recommend this product to others without any hesitation.
Purchased all three cameras from Walnut Creek Archery and received excellent service from them. The items were shipped very quickly showing WCA truly cares about their customers.

I bought this gift for my husband for when he goes hunting. He's been testing it out with the animals that go through our yard and is very pleased with the pics it takes.
