Our Bluebird Feeder is designed with bluebird-sized entrance holes on the end which keep out starlings and other large birds. Outside perches are provided by the extended bottom platform at each end.
Bluebirds are voracious insect eaters, but they like fruit and berries as well. Raisins, currants, blueberries, dried fruits and peanut hearts will attract bluebirds to this feeder. Or if you are a dedicated bluebird watcher, add mealworms and other insects. Including some sunflower seeds will also attract other small backyard birds.
The top swings up for easy filling of the hopper. Simply mount on a tree or post or hang from the attached cord to watch these little charmers dine in peace.
