These are, as an earlier reviewer, superb *non-adherent* pads for wound care. ("Non-adherent" means they won't stick to the wound -- a good thing, much appreciated by both patient and caretaker.) That said, it's important to know that greater absorption may be necessary in some situations (such as post-op), so be sure to ask a medical professional who knows the nature of the wound you're dealing with to make sure this is the correct type of gauze pad to buy. We wound up having to buy a different type to accommodate drainage, but I'm still glad to have these on hand for emergencies.

I bought these bandages for an aging relative who is allergic to latex. There is no warning on the box and no warning in the merchant's advertisement, however the individually wrapped bandages have a warning stating the the packaging contains latex. You don't know this until you open the box and take out one of the bandages. The merchant has suggested that I return them but if they are not defective, they will deduct the shipping charges and the Amazon fee from my refund. They are not defective, but due to the wrapping, everyone of the individually wrapped bandages are exposed to latex. I don't know if this is a significant risk, but we are not going to take the chance. My concern is more for the potential health hazard than for the money. Before ordering, we should have known that the bandages are wrapped in packages containing latex.

My seepage from burn was pretty extreme. Each day the pads would be brick hard with dried matter. Wetting pads good in shower was extreme plus for any gauze pads, and spraying under sides of pads.

CVS non-stick gauze pads stuck badly even after wetting, Johnson and Johnson hospital grade pads stuck some after wetting, these Telfa (tefal it seems) pads pushed right off by shower head and I didn't have to touch them. I just sprayed water under edge and they peeled off themselves. They were glossier than other pads. This has helped my wound heal way faster in the two days I've had them. It like the progress I made each day was ripped off when I changed bandages.

Someone commented they were a little thin. I could care less because they didn't stick, because I care about pain more than some excess seepage running down my leg or coming through the gauze pad and gauze wrap. Besides, I had plenty of other pads that I could stack on good telfa pad, rather than throw other pads away.

Lastly, these were easy to open with no scissors sterily by grabbing tabs on side, and they were way cheaper than pharmacy ones.

3M Micropore Paper Tape - 1 x 10 Yds - Box 12 was a good buy too. The tape rips off by hand and sticks very well.

This is the the only Telfa pad I have seen that contains Latex and it needs to include a warning for those people who are allergic to it. It caused a severe reaction which required expensive medications and took over 1 week to clear up. It could have been even worse if we had not realized that the Telfa was the cause. Back to CVS for Telfa, they cost more but do not contain Latex.

Amazon was very helpful and refunded the purchase price and the return shipping. I was told by Amazon customer service that the description will be corrected to include an allergy warning about the Latex.

My husband got a 2nd/3rd degree burn and I had such a hard time finding the stuff we needed in the local pharmacies ... thankfully everything was available on Amazon.

These pads work great on a burn - don't stick - same as my Dr's office uses.

These really came in handy when we had to wrap our dogs leg after he got tangled up with our neighbors car. The price was really good. These are just nice to have around. Highly recommended

Drainage from the wounds soaked through the sterile pads and bandages and ripped the scanning from the wounds. Now that I use tells, they're heading up and staying healed.
