Love Cow Belles... Love Aj and Aly!,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Cow Belles (DVD)
I just watched this movie and I love it. I have been an Aly and Aj fan since day 1. Meaning Alyson on Phil of the Future and Now You See It... and there debut single/music video Do You Believe in Magic. I highly reccommend you watch it on Disney Channel and buy it on dvd when it's released. Also be sure and pick up a copy of there debut cd Into the Rush featuring the singles Do You Believe in Magic, No One, Walking on Sunshine, Rush and the theme from Cow Belles On the Ride!

This is one of the best Disney Channel movies that Disney has ever made. Aly and Aj did a great job in this movie. They are very cool and very good role models. The story line was great and very fun. This is a great family movie and very funny.
Buy this dvd. You won't be dissapointed.

The story of this movie was interesting. I usually don't pay attention to the movie that is being played at dinner, but for multiple reasons, I was drawn to watch this.
Aly & AJ plays two daughters that works for their father's dairy company. Something terrible happens, and the two daughters strive to help out to keep the business going. There were also many micro problematic situations in the movie, just like in real life, that always kept the story dyanamic and interesting. There's guy/girl problems, sister problems, business problems, suspected thievery theories, conspiracies, work/life/family matrix complexities, and the general class jealousy/conflicts. There were probably others, but those are what I remember generally. Overall, I loved the movie and there was actual thoughtful meaning in it. This makes a perfect birthday gift for anyone! As well as something for your own collection if you love Walt Disney movies OR just Aly & AJ! :)

Good!,
This review is from: Cow Belles (DVD)
I liked this movie and Aly and AJ are GREAT actresses and singers and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THEM!!!!!!!! But............... even though this movie was good (and I don't mean this as a bad reveiw for the movie or ESCPECIALLY THEM) some of the OTHER(not ALY & AJ) actors were really bad, and in 1 scene all the employees talk bad about Taylor and Courtney (Aly and AJ) but in real life, they would never say bad stuff to the boss's daughters, escpecially to their faces. The reason for this note is only to notify you of some of the good and bad things in the movie, and I don't want to leave you thinking that I don't like Aly and AJ and that they are bad actresses and singers, because they are one of my favorite singers, and they are really good actresses.

This is a great movie for kids, I love the fact I can let My 9 year old watch it without having to worry about content. I enjoy the movie too, has a great message about work ethic, however I'm afraid that may be lost on alot of kids-but we can always hope!

DCOM to DVD - Cow Belles,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Cow Belles (DVD)
In the past, Disney Channel has rolled out some fairly decent made for TV movies that they call DCOM's (Disney Channel Original Movies). But, the past few months have brought some of televisions, and the entertainment worlds, most successful films to date; these include the hugely successful 'High School Musical' and 2003's novel to film 'The Cheetah Girls'. Now comes this equally successful film starring none other than Disney's own Alyson and Amanda Michalka, more commonly known as musical act Aly & AJ. The movie, 'Cow Belles', is somewhat of an extended episode of the Paris Hilton/Nicole Richie reality series 'The Simple Life', where two spoiled rich girls learn about life when they are forced into the real world. Though this idea may sound unoriginal and fairly simplistic, the movie has enough surprise twists up its sleeve to keep the viewers hooked.
The movie focuses on Courtney (Amanda Michalka) & Taylor (Alyson Michalka) Callum, two wealthy heiresses to their father's dairy business. After one clumsy mistake after the next and nearly burning down their home, their father forces them to work in his dairy factory for a week (while he goes off on a much needed vacation) - with the girls' opposition of course. As they start working, mayhem ensues when the company's funds go missing - and with the employee's ready to protest for payment, Courtney's costly sweet sixteen party, and Taylor's struggle to keep the dairy on top while dealing with her sister's issues, it's no wonder one problem occurs after the next. The film's acting is both tolerable and enjoyable, with Aly & AJ bringing liveliness to their roles with much enthusiasm. Aly, being no stranger to the Disney Channel crowd (she stars on Disney's 'Phil of the Future'), never disappoints. Sister, Amanda, in her first major acting role, does an equally excellent job playing a spoiled, yet eventual hero, Courtney. The two sisters have chemistry that seems to go above and beyond teen twin mega-moguls Mary-Kate & Ashley Olsen, which should bring success to the Michalka's upcoming Disney Channel series 'Haversham Hall'. The same cannot be said, however, about some supporting cast members, but all do a passable job of brining the characters concerns of money and daily life into the light. The majority of the 90 minute movie is done with excellence, but scenes of a dairy employee singing peppy farm tunes could have been cut. All in all, 'Cow Belles' is an enjoyable film that surely surprised many of the initial 5.8 million viewers, when it turned out to be more than a 'Simple Life' spin-off. The success of 'Cow Belles' (like its predecessor 'Musical') has brought this DVD with music videos, behind the scenes features, and an alternate ending and started rumors of a movie sequel.

This is a really fun family movie to watch and has a great message, which is: it is much more fulfilling to find joy in helping others rather than by focusing so much on ones self.
