Arley M. Fosburgh is an award winning visual artist living in Everett, Washington with her husband, their four children, and two goldfish. The author believes in early intervention for children with autistic spectrum disorder, and is an active participant in the education of her sons.

Hello from Voyager Middle School! I'm not sure if you'll even remember me, but my name is Michael Clark, and I am the band and orchestra director at Voyager. Your daughter Chelsey was one of my very first students when I started my teaching career. I'm on year eight and still loving every second of it! Arley, at the end of that first year, you gave me a copy of "A Cow! And Other Poems," and that book to this day remains on my bookshelf next to my computer. After I read your book, I decided I needed to know more about Autism, so that I could better serve the kids who come through my doors. I have taken several classes on autism and Asbergers, and I have taught several students in these past eight years who see the world through these eyes, and I have learned as much from them as I have taught them... I just wanted to say thank you (even if it is eight years too late!). Thank you for reaching out to a teacher who was just starting out, and thank you for an advocate for your son and all kids with autism. You are an awesome family, and I wish you guys all the best!
