Good stuff for Houstonians and hard-core collectors, worthless otherwise,

This review is from: Cow Parade Houston (Hardcover)
By now, Cow Parade or some variant of the 'public art' movement has hit every city with over a 100,000 people. I have seen alligators, space ships, people, and dragons on parade in various cities. Still, it all started with Cows in Zurich in 1998. Houston was the fourth city in the US (after Chicago, New York, and Kansas City). Some of the cows remain to this day in various parts of the city, 6 years later.
The pictures are fine, the memories are better, but this is probably of little use if you are not from Houston or are not a serious collector of Cow Parade memorabilia.

The Best Yet,
By Bill Dykes (Spring, TX USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Cow Parade Houston (Hardcover)
This is the best Cow Parade book to date. What goes better together than cows and Houston? Local designs are terrific and they and the city have been represented in a wonderful light. The cover really says it all, a representation, through the cow, of a proud and strong city.
