When I was a child in the early 1960's, I adored this book! A few years ago, I decided to obtain a copy. Reading it as an adult brought back such wonderful memories. Highly recommend tracking this one down.

From my first days listening to my father read Cowboy Andy through the many nights reading it back to my father, I recall wonderful memories. The story is beautiful and I look forward to reading it to my children, nephews and nieces.

This was my absolute fave book as a child - I read it everywhere - even in the bathtub and I still have the book and rumpled pages to prove it. I always told my mom that when i grew up, I wanted to be a cowboy and live on a ranch (small problem, since I'm a girl...haha...) anyways, I had all the cowboy gear as a kid - hat, boots, chaps, even the now not politically correct guns and holsters. When I was about 10 years old I decided that I wanted to be called Cowboy Sam - so that year for my birthday on my cake - it said HAPPY BIRTHDAY COWBOY SAM. Well, I never became a cowboy or cowgirl for that matter and never have lived on a ranch, but I have alot of happy memories of my childhood and this book is one of the best! I am so glad to hear that I am in great company!

We have read this book everyday to my two year old grandson. It is his FAVORITE BOOK. I have a copy from the 60's. I am just so happy to be able to order him his own copy!!!! My Mom and I are just so excited about being able to find him a copy!!!!

Cowboy Andy was my favorite book when I was a kid. I checked it out so many times from the library that they finally gave me the copy. I was so happy to learn that I could order copies of the book through Amazon for my 3 granddaughters for Christmas.
