5.0 out of 5 stars Enter the occult and the goofy poser ..., August 19, 2000

The title of the tape is 'Boogie Woogie Feng-Shui', and that is the first episode. Jet gets a distressingly cryptic message on the computer and begins a search for a missing Feng Shui master with his young daughter and her mystic Feng Shui divination board. Soon, the crew of Bebop is put out by Jet's new 'girlfriend' and their entanglement with the mob who also seeks the dead master. 'Cowboy Funk' the second episode on the tape deals with a Unibomber type character named Teddy Bomber who plants Teddy bears with high explosives inside monolithic office towers on a crusade to protest mankind's expansion and proliferation. However, that is only the B story....the A story is that a bounty hunter named Andy is after Teddy Bohmer as well, and unfortunately he thinks Spike is the bomber. Soon, Andy has seduced Faye and battled Spike in an all out destruction fest. The masquerade party is especially funny with Jet being a hippie in a MJ tee shirt and the Teddy Bomber as a huge teddy bear.

Although the stories on this tape are very diverse and bizarre they still have some excellent art and animation, and the kooky humor of 'Cowboy Funk' is a good was to go out. Bebop doesn't loose a beat. The movie planned to come out next year is said to be set between 'Cowboy Funk' and 'Brain Scratch', fyi.

This series was an unexpected surprise. I never thought that it would be this good. I can't praise this series enough (I think Amazon got the name wrong though, its "Boogie Woogie Feng Shui"). Great visuals, humor and great action sequences makes this tape a winner. I recommend the whole series.

4.0 out of 5 stars Oh yeah! Thats what Im talking about, August 13, 2000
By A Customer
A series thats been running this long, and still mantaining its popularity, is definetly worth seeing. However, I myself am a little dissapointed in where this show is headed. I mean sure its nice to have some intrigue, but this show has way too much. Remember what happened to Evangelion? I just wanna see a show about a crew of misfits chasing down bounty hunters. That alone would of been just fine for me. Oh well. Somethings about Bebop however will still remain the same. Like the fact that this kinda music cant be beat and the action is intense, if not frantic. So, if your willing to stay with a series this good, I recommend you buy this tape also. After I saw this tape, Im a little more hopeful, but lets see some more action and less intrigue.
