5.0 out of 5 stars Entropy and decay - the downward spiral..., October 15, 2000

This review is from: Cowboy Bebop- The Real Folk Blues [VHS] (VHS Tape)
Everything that is made dissolves in time. That which has been done becomes undone, and so the final two episodes exemplify. 'The Real Folk Blues 1 and 2' bring to a conclusion the tale of the crew of the Bebop as it is shot down and comes to rest in the Martian desert. Faye tries to leave the crew after regaining her memory, and gets joined up with the never present Julia. Spike finally reunites with his lost love. Vicious gains control of the entire Tong of the Red Dragon and begins a desperate purging of everyone and everything in his past which might stand in his way...and Spike is top of the list. Quite an excellent ending for an anime series. No spoilers, this series has proven itself exceptional with each episode and in the end it caps off better then ever. Sadly there will be no further Bebop beyond a follow up movie in the works since the creators decided 26 episodes would be all they ever wanted. If this series is ever revised I have no doubt it will be a shallow reflection of these 26 episodes. I'll miss not seeing new episodes....

But yet, just as one amazing series ends there are others. For something completely different but just as adept at animation be watching for 'Furi Kuri' (FLCL).

A Kid's Review
This review is from: Cowboy Bebop- The Real Folk Blues [VHS] (VHS Tape)
I've seen all the shows about 5 times and every other anime on cartoonetwork and besides tying with Inuyasha it is the best I've seen. The appearance is great and the music is awsome espiecialy at the end. I would highly recomend buying this video the ending really makes you think long after you watch it personaly I would just buy a damb $3 set of tapes and tape the show but for those who can not it is deffenetly worth the money

5.0 out of 5 stars Dazzling Conclusion, December 29, 2001

The finale to Cowboy Bebop couldn't get any better. Though it ends in a sad, sad beat, director Watanabe Shinichiro faces us with the hard truth-all things must come to an end. Characters are coming to terms with their dreaded past, especially Spike, and openly confront the beautiful blue sky. It all ends with a bang.
