5.0 out of 5 stars Not normally into dom/sub, but...WOW!
I was truly blown away by this book. I've read stories involving dom/sub relationships before, but I've never been impressed (usually each author has a different viewpoint on these kinds of situations). Not only was the sex HOT (nothing like I've ever read before), but Sydney (who I thought was going to be a weak, submissive type of woman) ended up being an amazing...

2.0 out of 5 stars All Dom-Sub
If you like dom-sub relationships this book is for you. If you just want some good erotic fiction, which is what I was looking for, you'll have a hard time finding it here. It was all about her need for her Master and that lifestyle. It was well over half-way through the book before the characters even had sex, it was all talk, talk, talk, and some kissing before then.

5.0 out of 5 stars Not normally into dom/sub, but...WOW!, March 16, 2010

I was truly blown away by this book. I've read stories involving dom/sub relationships before, but I've never been impressed (usually each author has a different viewpoint on these kinds of situations). Not only was the sex HOT (nothing like I've ever read before), but Sydney (who I thought was going to be a weak, submissive type of woman) ended up being an amazing character; Natalie Acres certainly took her time in developing her. The men, of course, were awesome; each one was distinctive, something I was thankful for since sometimes in menage romances all the men kind of blur together.
I think the best part of this book was the suspense. You get little clips here and there, little clues, until it all comes together, and then it gets really sexy. I can honestly say I didn't see the big secret reveal coming, which left me surprised and grateful for the change in formula.

Trust me, this is a book you will not regret reading.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Bar has been Raised with Cowboy Boots and Untamed Hearts, July 10, 2009
This review is from: Cowboy Boots and Untamed Hearts (Siren Menage Amour 70) (Paperback)
This book is my favorite western contemporary listed on Amazon. Cowboy Boots and Untamed Hearts is just as the author's promotions have suggested: `fast-moving' and 'similar to `24'. Can you see Kiefer Sutherland in boots? After reading this book, you might imagine it.

Beyond the hype, readers will find Brock and Riley, Luke and Kevin. Each hero is fully developed as individual characters relevant to the book. I fell head over heels for Brock, the kind of alpha everyone wants to find under their 'covers'.

Natalie Acres is one of my favorite authors. The strong voice and wit comes shining through a little more with each new book. Cowboy Boots and Untamed Hearts is one of the very best ménage books ever written. I'd buy any sequel without a blurb to entice. Acres reels in readers and refuses to let them go. She succeeded once again with this one.

1.0 out of 5 stars WHAT??????????, March 7, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This synopsis was so misleading. First of all it never even came close to being about cowboy's, the characters lived on a ranch and were all a part of a special forces group working for the government against a drug cartel.

The story revolved around the "boy's next door" who were amateur Doms trying to protect Sydney from getting murdered.

I went in open minded and believe to each his own but I couldn't get past how degrading this was for any female. I continued to feel humiliated for Sydney and wanting to bash the "cowboy's" for their constant sexual inuendoes, it got old really fast.

I was thankful the book wasn't too long. I always complete a book no matter what since I paid for it and this was one I really felt they should have paid me so I really don't know how it got good reviews.

I really don't even think it was written well so I won't be reading any more of this author's books sorry. There was a point toward the end that you find out about something (I won't give it away) but it very predictable and I had already put two and two together. So.... Can I recommend it? Only if you like that sort of erotica but your money would be better spend reading a story that has some substance along with the erotica of your choice and knowing full well what you were in for.

My corrected synopsis:

Sydney is basically alone in the world. Her father is a sniper for the government against a drug cartel. She needs the help of the men next door to round up a mare named Bitch that she has no control over.

The Donovan brother's are a bunch of hot looking over sexed brothers wanting to go into a dominant/sub relationship with Sydney who they have all loved since childhood.

She is continuously moved from place to place for her protection She is twenty three and returns home when the coast is clear. Because of this lifestyle she falls in to a dominant relationship with Brock one of her father's men hired to protect her. He leaves her when she goes home. Basically she gets manipulated by her father and the neighbors into a relationship with the men next door and this book is what her life is like three years later in a nut shell.

Enjoy, I hope you like it better than I did

2.0 out of 5 stars Kind of Slow, March 13, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This book didn't have much of a plot (or if it did, I didn't get it) and it didn't really have much sex. Perhaps I just don't get the Dom/Slave or Dom/Sub relationship as this book did nothing for me at all. Spoiler: I don't mind multiple partners but the last partner to join the group just didn't make sense to me. Why would a woman take back a man who mentally abused her?

I don't have time to review each book independently but wanted to share some ratings of several books I consider outstanding. Happy reading!

2.0 out of 5 stars NOT a romance -- instead a fetish novel, September 15, 2009
I agree with some of the other reviews, this is not a romance novel it's a fetish novel. I didn't get that from the blurb, or I would have not ordered it. Read the description carefully. If this is your thing you'll probably like it, but if you're just looking for escapism-romance skip this one!

2.0 out of 5 stars Not at all what was expected, September 11, 2009
I was looking for a romance book and this is just not. To a reader who is definately not into slave/master relationships, You can't tell it is about that in the review of the book or I would not have taken the book to read. I was only 11% into the book when I decided to just stop reading and went to another book. Please next time don't waste my time. To me, it was also vulgar.
