About the Author

Gina Coon resides in Southern California with her husband and children. When she isn’t writing she enjoys sewing and crafts, as well as volunteering at her church, scouts, and her kids’ schools. For more than a decade Gina was defined as a (crazy) homeschool mom. After retiring from homeschooling, she found herself at loose ends, unused to having time on her hands. As a little girl her head was filled with made up stories and that hasn’t changed. An avid reader, she’s always loved books and the idea of writing one. Deciding to capitalize on all those years of teaching and editing her sons' essays, she quietly started a project. She had no idea if she’d produce a decent paragraph, let alone a whole story. Her first book, Elizabeth’s Hero, was a huge personal achievement that launched a love affair with writing. Her Christian faith is often reflected in her stories. The main characters are generally good people with strong values and, of course, there is always a happy ending!

The saga continues in this second book in the Silver Springs Contempory Series. The scene for this story began in "Elizabeth's Hero." Frank Wilson is a true cowboy. Not flashy with pearl buttoned shirts but gruff, hard working, and, of course, handsome. I'm so glad Ms. Coon has written his story. Frank is battling an arsonist as well his feelings for Karen and her cutie son, Marc. Even though Karen doesn't think she needs a man in her life, Marc has other ideas. A good read.

Enjoyed the book and Gina' s captivating style of writing. She definitely knows how to get your attention and keep you wanting a little more. Was not real thrilled with the unexplained inserts of her "bad guys" thoughts. Good for the romantic.

This story wasn't fluff and smoke. It dealt with issues of life that rang true to this reader. I appreciate stories like this one.

I so could be Karen not trusting men because of the past yet yarning for a good man to come into my life. When it happens sometimes it happens so fast you don't know what to think... Looking forward to reading more of Silver Springs.
