Story of an orphan boy who develops some unusual friendships,
By Midwest Book Review (Oregon, WI USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Cowboy in the Making (Tumbleweed) (Hardcover)
It's difficult to peg the age range of Will James' Cowboy In The Making: as kindergarten and first grade picturebook readers will find it too hard, but parents may find it just fine for assisted reading. Young readers and those in grades 2-5 will appreciate this story of an orphan boy who develops some unusual friendships in his travels. James' pen and ink drawings and four color paintings enhance this slim book's appeal.
