Trying to capture a live show from this band on dvd is very hard to do. This comes as close as possible.

Buy one! BUY TWO! If you even kinda like Cowboy Mouth you should get this DVD. The studio CD's don't do justice to one of the greatest live bands of all time. This DVD catches Cowboy Mouth on the "VooDoo Shoppe Tour" at the Roxy in LA and it's a typical night for Cowboy Mouth. It's more of the same from Cowboy Mouth...which is great because MORE of the same from them means FUN FUN FUN!

I saw this band for the first time in 1992 and since there is one question I still can't figure out: Why is this not the biggest band in the World? The shows are fantastic and have received plenty of praise, but the music is excellent and somehow under rated. Most songs aren't complicated but have awesome melodies and harmonies. Fred's and JTG's voices are very good and distinctive. I highly recommend this DVD.

There is only one thing missing in this performance: Mr. Paul Sanchez. I'm gald CM is still going strong and nothing against any current members but Paul's songs and presence are missed.

I absolutely love this band. The DVD shows exactly why the band is so awesome, and makes you wish you were there right then to join in no matter how tired, sad, sick, or busy you are.

You need to see Fred and Co. live. It's a tight, loud, fun band to see. If you don't mind being coerced into the show. Sit up front, watch Fred transform from regular guy to rock 'n roll nut.

Cowboy Mouth is a four part band, and in the dvd the lead singer and drummer "Fred LeBlanc" describes the band as "southern, American, New Orleans flavored" Rock and Roll. This concert is very upbeat. You get John Thomas Griffin on lead guitar, Regina Zernay on bass, and Vance DeGeneres on rhythm guitar. Also, there is a guest performance by Mark Bryan of "Hootie and the Blowfish". Overall, the concert is great, upbeat, and the performances seem to have been influenced by "punk rock".
It's like southern rock meets punk rock! This is pointed out during the concert. Fred LeBlanc talks about Joe Strummer the late leader of "The Clash". They perform a song entitled "Joe Strummer". Overall, this is a very good upbeat (not laid-back) concert dvd. It is very enjoyable and well worth watching.

Cowboy Mouth is a band that's made it's name via word of mouth, (pun intended!) I've never heard them on the radio and only saw them on TV because I knew where to look (Kelly Ripa), but their live concert is an experience not to be missed. If you can't see them in person, this DVD is the next best thing!

For years Cowboy Mouth has been a New Orleans secret growing harder and harder to contain as the years went on. Finally now that secret is out. Cowboy Mouth (Fred LeBlanc, John Thomas Griffith, Regina Zernay and Vance DeGeneres) creates an infectious blend of Southern rock that is not to be missed.

Captured at the Roxy in L.A. the band does what it does best parties hard and loud. The DVD features some of the best from the band's catalogue but focuses on the new album Voodoo Shoppe. Showstoppers include Take Me Back to New Orleans,Everybody Loves Jill, Jenny Says and an incredible version of Avenue that brings the house down. The DVD features bonus footage shot at a soundcheck earlier the day of the show.

This DVD captures the energy of one of New Orleans hottest new bands. If you can't see them live do yourself a favor and see this DVD.
