This isn't just music -- it's completely alive! Guaranteed to kick a party into high gear and pull you out of your bluest indigo funk, pronto. Everyone I know, from the most introspective geek to the most flamboyant hob-nobber loves this disc. You will, too.

5.0 out of 5 stars If you're not a country fan, listen to this CD!, December 7, 2001

This has got to be the most fun album I've ever heard! You'll get hooked by the music, but keep listening because of the beautiful poetry of the lyrics. I never get tired of listening to it and I've never been a country music fan. We're ready for the next one, Ned!

5.0 out of 5 stars The Cuban Cowboy of our Buddy Holly dreams, March 27, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Cowboy Rumba (Audio CD)
This is the album that brings them all together -- city, country, Anglo, Cuban, rock, rumba, Buddy Holly, and the Sons of the Pioneers -- and forces them to work out their differences. It went directly to the top of my playlist.

5.0 out of 5 stars All Time Favorite, December 11, 2004
This review is from: Cowboy Rumba (Audio CD)
For about a year, I'd listen to this CD at least once a day. Usually on way home from a hot summer concrete job I was working on, real loud, w/ a cold beer. First CD I have ever seen on Amazon with nothing but 5 star reviews.
I AGREE>>>>>>>>>>Incredible.
BUY IT. LISTEN TO IT. A LOT !!!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars An excellent project, November 1, 2002

What a shock it is ! That's really a great idea to mix the country and rock'n'roll of this Texan singer and the cuban rhythms of groups like the phenomenous NG La Banda. The songs of this CD make me very happy each time I listen to it.

5.0 out of 5 stars A sure hit fest!, March 30, 1999
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)

After hearing an advance release of this CD, I can hardly wait to own the album. Don't be fooled by the cowboy title -- this is not your daddy's country music but an amazing fusion of Latin/Cubano riffs and rhythms with some of the best dance rock tunes in American music.

5.0 out of 5 stars Sublette is a genius, October 14, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Cowboy Rumba (Audio CD)
This CD nevers fails to put a smile on my face and rhythm in my step. From the humor in the true CW lyrics to the infectious Latin beat, the good-hearted spirit of this music shines through on every song. It's a music marketing and radio programming nightmare, but it's a listener's delight. And don't forget the Cuban-accented chorus on Feelin' No Pain. Great stuff, Ned, give us more!

5.0 out of 5 stars This album sets your toes to tapping, April 2, 1999

After hearing the preview copy once, I played it again and again. This is a great mix of old and new songs. Mr. Sublett has the real cowboy voice, with a real Cuban beat. I really enjoyed it. (Have it on right now!)

Country Western Cuban? Don't think it isn't possible! You'll have a grin on your face after listening to the cd, and believe me, you'll want to listen to it over and over! It's that good.
