i checked the wattage of these bulps and they are not 45 watts. they average 23 watts (22-24 watts).
i measured the bulbs with a kill-a-watt meter.

they are also not the same as what is pictured, but another bulb the Cowboy Studio lists on amazon.

I also tested other bulbs for comparison:
14watt nuvision 5500k was 13.5watts
23watt greenlite 2700k was 19watts

so the cowboy studio 45 watt CFL was 50 percent under power compared to 5 to 15 person under for the other tested bulbs.
this is very deceptive and I would ask the company why are they doing this?
photographers buy based on light output so why lie about wattage?
they also say this compares to a 225 watt incandescent, does it? would be interesting to see if anyone has tested with a light meter.
i would beware of any cowboy studio product since they are so willing to misrepresent what they sell.

cowboy has great prices, but as is noted in their 105W lights (top review) their bulbs are not as bright as they claim.

I am underwhelmed by these lights and will return them, on principle alone.

I received this order the next day after ordering it! The bulb works well and is very bright. Using it with my photography kit and so far so good. No complaints!

i like it, it's great, but if you're only working with one light for video & photo shoot this isn't really meant for a one light thing. I use two lights for each stands which works good.

Shipped in a big box full of those air bubble wraps which was nice and protective but also just adds more trash.

( ALSO WORKS WELL AS A HOME WORKSPACE LAMP LIGHT )

ADD 10$ and get the extra 3 bulbs on the other deal.

These are a pretty cheap but not as good alternative bulbs to pro ones. I bought an ephoto light bulb of the same size and lit them next to each other. It lit brighter but it was more pricey. These are about as bright as my old $26 square perfect bulbs and they work just fine.

I got the lightbulb and installed it in my torchiere, after two weeks of use the lightbulb went out and started smoking. I also bought a Alzo 85 watt bulb, that one is bigger and works fine in an identical torchiere.

Buy a different brand of bulb

They are nice and bright, only I bought two and they both burned out within only a few weeks to months after purchase. Don't waste your money on something that doesn't last ! !

The lighting fixtures in which it was installed had to be sooooo close to the subject that I had to edit out the legs of the lighting fixtures.

Others have posted measurements for this bulb, and I did not make any measurements. I needed something close to daylight color temperature light in an area where I work with color photographs. I wanted the color to be natural looking although not used for critical evaluation. This bulb worked for me.

These are a VERY POOR QUALITY BULB. They are cheap plastic, made in China, rattled upon arrival. Not a single bulb worked out of 3. My square perfect bulbs worked, but none of these did. Don't waste your money or time on these. Buy the square perfect ceramic base bulbs instead.
