I bought the Cowboy Studio JTL Photo Studio Snoot for Strobe light together with the the Cowboy Strobe because it appeared in the advertisement that both items were sold together and fit. However, when the items arrived, the Snoot DOES NOT fit the Strobe even though they recommend that the items are sold together.

Again, the cost of returning the item outweighs the cost of the purchase, so I am stuck with the Snoot that doesn't fit. This purchase leaves me with a bitter taste as it is clearly misrepresented. Don't make the mistake I made. Shame on you Amazon!

First the Con: I was hoping to use this for hair light accent, but it spills over a bit onto areas I don't want it to. But on the Pro side: It works really well for special effects when doing profiles/silhouettes etc.. It is a good addition to my equipment, but be aware: The snoot does get hot with the modeling lights after a short period of time..... 10-15 minutes. No smoke like some mentioned, but very hot! (not sure what time frame they're referring to). But when I'm in between shooting/setting something up, I shut the light off just as a precautionary measure.
I don't know that it would melt, but it does get pretty hot to the touch, and I don't think I want to test to see just what would happen if it were left on for any extended period of time.

Yes this snoot fits the Neewer 300 and Neewer 250 watt strobe. The only thing that's missing is a grid to further focus and soften the light. Other than that it works and fits great. The snoots dimensions are: 3,7/8" diameter larger end and 2,1/8 diameter smaller end and 4,6/8" long. Remember to turn off the modeling light, even with the modeling off, this snoot will hold head from the flash tube. I wish that Amazon sold the 2,1/8 grids to fit on the snoot.

I have some more costly stobes, but the Cowboy Studio units this is meant to fit on have become mainstays in my home studio. While another reviewer points out the need to not leave the modeling light on with the snoot attached, for the price, I can handle that.

This works very well and is yet another reason to use the Cowboy Studio strobe units.

This snoot I was attempting to put on my speedotron flash head but it is too small to fit around the entire unit. As it turns out though, it is small enough to fit snuggly over the flash bulb itself. Might not be a good idea for long term use but for the 10 minutes I have it over the head to create a hair light... for $20 it beats the pants off the hundreds it would cost for a metal speedotron compatible snoot. Great alliterative. If you are okay with being creative to save money (which i suggest of any photographer) then this is the piece for you. Save tons of $$ and shove it in your wallet instead :).

I use this with the NEEWER 180W strobe flash/light for studio photos for business cards of Realtors. Perfect match up. For a hair light snoot and flash package for $60 total, how can you go wrong? I also do real estate photography and for an accent light inside of homes, this can be very useful and creative, matching this up with my Nikon SB700 camera mounted flash (on a Nikon D7100), they work great together in lighting up areas otherwise not lit.

I had been looking for something to replace the homemade snoots for my hair-lights for some time. However, being the cheapskate (my wife calls me thrifty) that I am I couldn't find anything that I would actually buy before these. For the price I paid I expected them to be reasonably functional, but I was surprised to find they were made of exceptionally thick plastic and fit like a glove on my little 160w lights. I couldn't be happier!
