I've owned this pop-up screen for just over a week and have a few pro's and con's to share, along with this video review to demonstrate what I'm referring to. I hope you find this useful!

Pros:
- This unit is very affordable and portable! You can twist it down to a small circle and carry it around in a zipper bag. Just throw it in your car and go, or slide it under your bed for easy storage!

- It's lightweight. A cinch to setup and take down, whether you are just resting it against a wall or hooking it to a frame.

- It's blue on one side and green on another. Need a quick switch? No Problem!

Cons:
- The frame can be warped. I've had two units with very warped frames that cause serious issues with lighting and keeping it straight on a stand. See the video for information.

- The material is easily stained. If you get it wet or touch it with oil on your hands (of the natural variety) then it will easily smudge.

- The material is poor quality and very reflective. This is by far the biggest point of a chroma key screen! It's quite difficult to light evenly and can cause some very noticeable spilling on anything in front of the screen if you're not careful. Hot spots are also a big issue here. I had to adjust lighting and the camera angle multiple times to get an acceptable video!

All in all, I'm awarding three stars. Mostly because of it's portability, storage, and convenience in general. It's great for a first timer or hobbyist, but I wouldn't recommend it for professionals. It loses two stars because of the reflective properties and poor quality of the frame and material. It's usable, but there are better options in the same price range.

When I was reading the reviews and considering whether or not to buy this, I saw several comments that it is hard to fold back up. I bought it anyway. Well it arrived. We expanded it. Anticipating that it would be a major challenge to fold it back down, I told my son and his girlfriend to watch very closely. When we went to fold it back up, my son's girlfriend said, "Twist it." So with my son on one end (short end) and me on the other end, we just twisted it. With the two of us holding it with two hands each, we simply twisted it and bingo, it folded right up. Don't worry about folding it back up. With two people at opposite ends, just twist it and it folds up on its own.

This is fine for the price and what it does. Don't expect the world. I'm always surprised when people buy something inexpensive and then lambaste it for not being identical to the thing that is by far more expensive. This is what it is and it works great.

Very reflective and transparent. This is not a chroma key for video editing. Will be returning this item. Very low quality item. Be advised to purchase somewhere else.

This thing works, we testing outdoor with a talent, the green and blue keys very well, the only problem we had was there weren't ANY instruction on how to fold it back together, so after 35 mins and 5 people later, we gave up and googled it on youtube, and yeah, you CAN fold it up with just one person! So, get it but make sure don't waste 30 mins trying to do what we did :)

I only have two complaints about this item. It's very tricky to fold back up. Even though they have a video on their web-site on how to do it (they make it look so easy), a video doesn't help when you're out on location. A sheet with written instructions and diagrams would be very helpful to be included with the product. The second complaint is the white side gets dirty very easy and there are no instructions on what is a safe way to clean it. That being said, it's a great on-location tool. Convenient. Can't get much more than a head & shoulder shot for an adult, but for the money, it's nice to have with you. In fact, I intend to get the one with the green screen on one side, as I have fabric that flaps in the wind. It really is a nice product.

The quality of this product is high for the money, but it is very hard to key because it is too dark and requires a ton of light for it to work. In small places which I assume this is for because of its size and what I needed it for, the lighting required to light this up would overwhelm the space I have. Not to mention the fact needing to buy expensive lighting equipment just to get it to work offsets the value. My son made a homemade green screen from poster board and green tape from Walmart and it works 100 times better then this pop up screen. I am disappointed with this item. I want to say that Cowboy did offer my money back but it's not their fault this did not work for my situation and the shipping was great. I will buy a better screen to replace my son's cardboard one. This one will make a nice outdoor screen maybe on a sunny day. Also as for folding it up I found the youtube video worked for me I can fold it up with no problem. If anybody has any ideas on how to get this very dark screen to key without investing in a ton of lights let me know.

05/24/13 UPDATE: I am going to give one more star for this screen, I had to put 1000 watts of halogen light to get it to key, so after spending around 40 dollars at Lowes for better lighting I was able to get it to key.

07/17/2013 UPDATE: After buying lights and finally getting it to somewhat key, I had problems with glare due to the amount of light needed to get this screen to key (on the green side). I was able to get the blue side to key with minimum lighting without a flaw. I did buy another green screen and had no problem keying it, so in my opinion the green side of this screen is not chroma key green, it is just to dark to use in artificial lighting setups,

The backdrop was fine, folds up and stores easy, however, the colors were grayer and muddier than the posting led on. There is very, very little if any blue in my backdrop. I know that it is tie-dyed and everyone is different, but I was hoping for a bit moe color in mine.
