Great start., July 15, 2008
His songs are authentic and current. His voice is super. You can think of him as a male version of LeAnn Rimes when she was starting out; i.e. he is practically still a kid, yet his voice and delivery are very mature, professional and of high quality.
The chorus of "Cowboys and Cadillacs" sounds somewhat like "Tim McGraw" by Taylor Swift. Nevertheless, it's a great song.
In summary, he is clearly a great singer and performer. Plus, his song style is a nice combination of traditional yet modern, reminiscing yet optimistic and fun. He should appeal to long-time country music fans and new ones.
