Book Description

Ethan Cruz should be mending fences on his Montana ranch, but instead he's driving to the Chance Creek, Montana, airport - to pick up the bride he didn't know he had. This latest salvo in his ongoing practical joke battle with his best friend, Rob Matheson, has gone too far, and Ethan plans to send his "bride" right back home, then get busy plotting his revenge. One look at Autumn Leeds changes his mind, however. Perhaps he needs a bride, after all. A breathtakingly beautiful city bride.

Autumn Leeds needs a story - fast - or she's going to lose her lucrative contract with CityPretty Magazine, so when she sees the crazy video plea for a modern mail-order bride for a cowboy, it sounds like the story of the century. Making a video of her own, she casts herself as the perfect mail-order bride for a rancher, but when she finally reaches Montana, she's surprised to find Ethan's the perfect cowboy husband-to-be. Against her better judgment, her plan to keep her handsome groom at arm's length disintegrates into a night of passion spent in his arms.

Ethan knows he can't keep playing this game - he has to come clean with Autumn and tell her the truth; about the practical joke and about the state of his ranch. He's about to lose it all because of the debts his mother racked up before his parents' deaths. Now his sister, Claire, wants to sell the ranch and collect what little money they can. He'll be out of a home and a job, and in no shape to support the bride he desperately wants to marry, after all.

Autumn's in bigger trouble than ever. Not only has she fallen in love with the subject of her expose - she might be carrying his child. If she doesn't write this article and secure her contract for another year, she'll lose everything - her career, her apartment, and more importantly, her family's approval. The only alternative is to stay and marry Ethan. But how can she trust a man she's just met when she knows too well that men always let you down?

Can a love based on lies last?

The cowboys email order bride

When I first read this title I thought it was ridiculous, but very clever at the same time. I mean we use email for everything now, right? So it only took a few minutes for the title to grow on me and before long I knew it was a smart title and was just itching to read it.

Mind you by ridiculous I mean that in a"laugh out loud" kind of way. The title of the book just grabbed me and I just had to read it. I've always loved marriage of convenience stories and mail order bride novels. So when I saw "Email order bride" I thought to myself , I gotta have this book on my eraser!! Yes please!

What I loved the most was the fast attraction and the fast sex! Wow they had sex by chapter 2!!!!! Now if you don't like that then this book is not for you. The hero is just hot!! The heroine is hilarious and I really liked her personality. Considering the upbringing she had. Weird mother no father.

I am not going to reveal anymore about the story but just highly recommend that you read this one. It is pure joy!! If you don't like cowboys, ranches or fast hot sex, then this is not for you.

But I LOVED IT.

4.0 out of 5 stars I love Cowboy romance books. May 16, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
Netgalley sent me a copy of The Cowboy's E-Mail Order Bride in exchange for an honest review.

I have been reading romance books since I first found my grandma's stash when I'd stay with her over the summer. She let me. Though I'm not sure she knew I was reading the steamier ones. I'm a sucker for a romance novel, man sweeps woman off feet, woman falls in love with man, they run off and live happily ever after.

I love me a gorgeous cowboy too. Worn jeans, broke in boots, cowboy hat, muscles, tan from being outdoors.....yum. I don't want a rhinestone wanna be cowboy, a real ranch working, cattle herding, horse riding cowboy is what I'm talking about.

We have combined 2 of my favorite elements: romance + cowboys= Heather is going to automatically love the book.

And I did.

It's a fast fun read. I finished it in a couple of hours Wednesday night.

I think Ethan and I would get along fabulously if he's looking for a girl who knows nothing about ranch life but does know how to use technology. Those weren't technically his qualifications for a wife, but you know.

Rob and Ethan, practical jokers, one outdoing the other with each new joke, but this one .... I couldn't imagine someone doing this to me. Posting a video on YouTube for a wife wanted (or husband in my case). I would have melted into the floor and died.

Ethan, though, had this attraction to Autumn that didn't let him put her back on the plane.

I'm glad he didn't.

The only thing I didn't like... the only thing that is making it a 4 star review for me... was the moment of unprotected sex. It kind of gives the message that unprotected sex works out to a happily ever after.

4.0 out of 5 stars This is a Great Light Read January 2, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Ethan Cruz has three buddies and they constantly play practical jokes on each other, trying to one-up each other and the jokes are escalating to out of control.

While Ethan should be working on his failing ranch, his friends are dragging him to the airport telling him they ordered him a bride, an e-mail bride. He thinks they are teasing but they are not. Ethan plans to send his bride-to-be home on the next plane...that is until he laid eyes on her. What would a couple of days hurt?

Autumn Leeds is a reporter for a rag-mag who needs a story and fast or she will lose her job. She discovers an advertisement for a modern mail order bride on You Tube and decides to apply because this story just may save her job. She never expects to fall into bed with the handsome groom-to-be, Ethan Cruz, on the night of her arrival.

As their relationship blossoms, and Autumn suspects she is pregnant, they each know they have to come clean with the other about their secrets and lies. Just as that is about to happen, Bella, Ethan's ex-girlfriend, intervenes and blows everything apart.

Can a love based on lies last? Can Ethan, with the help of Autumn, find a way to save his ranch?

I highly recommend this sweet read.

1.0 out of 5 stars very disappointing June 18, 2014
By bal
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
If you enjoy reading a story that has no depth, this is the book for you. If you enjoy reading stories with characters who have no character at all, then this is the book for you. The plot centers around a woman who has no morals whatsoever. She intentionally lies and manipulates people to get a story for her magazine, in the hopes that she will not lose her job, and therefore, not look like the idiot she is to her family. The "cowboy" is just as witless, and when the two of them have sex the first night they meet each other, the reader is left wondering why the author didn't bother to at least try to built up some tension between the couple before writing the sex scene.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wow, I really wasn't expecting this... April 14, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I picked up The Cowboy's E-mail Order Bride as a free read thinking okay it'll be cute, you know, with a name like that it would have to be. But oh my goodness it was so much more than that. Cora Seton has created a world of overcoming hard times, true friendship, growing up, taking control of your own life and true love. What a funny, sweet, sexy, cute, triumphant, hard ride this was. I loved this book and the series so much I actually told a friend to buy it. Each book in the series has been a stand alone read but the characters are so closely knit in their friendship that you get that feeling of continuation that is so popular these days. I wouldn't suggest reading them out of sequence but you can stop at anytime you wish without losing a HEA ending.

I'm not one to give 5 stars to any book unless It is out of this world spectacular but Ms. Seton so impressed me with having clear concise voices for each character, smooth detail descriptions that didn't drag on but were just enough to paint a picture for me to fill in the rest, and an interesting, captivating story line, that was not only sweet, loving but a little raw and a whole lot sexy and quite surprising. Strong women, stronger men, cowboys and city slickers, career women and homemakers and everything in between. There are some grammatical errors but honestly I couldn't say they actually bothered me during the reading for fun part and that is saying a lot for me. I usually hone in on editing errors like a beacon. Very nicely edited and written.

If you are looking for a fun, quick read that has depth and clear characters along with a lot of good humor, interesting story lines and fantastic friendships then pick up a copy of The Cowboy's Email Order Bride and start your journey into the Cowboys of Chance Creek series. I bet you can't put it down and you buy book two soon. Blood may be thicker than water but true friendship is stronger than steel.
