You're Gonna Love This!,

One day I will be one of the fortunate ones to take a roadtrip to see a Road Trip show. The words "Cowboys And Maniacs" sounds like another description of the same trip. "Cowboys And Maniacs" is definately a good CD for the trip. This band not only kicks ass, but the whole rest of the body into motion. They've got everything right. Great vocals with Richie Plath & Amy Jo Johnson. What a great blend of voices. Two excellent guitarists, Dan Doty & Matthew Emmer, that blend as well as any team you've ever heard. Of course the most defining part of any band is the drummer, and Billy Friday defines Road Trip as a verb's verb. Certainly my favorite is the guy that holds up the band from the bottom, DaveOnBass Geschke. I sent for a copy of this disc as soon as I heard it was released. On their website they define themselves as "Playing music of the past with the energy of the present and writing songs for the future." They're right. These songs will last forever---as soon as I can get the CD back from my kids.

A great album. but to hear the band in their element, you must see them live.
