Baxter Black's poetry and commentary on the ordinary life of cowboys, farmers, ranchers and rural vets is an entertaining look at a slice of disappearing American life. It is Americana at it's best. Baxter is a true original and a treasure.

I've bought numerous copies of this book as gifts for friends and relatives. My own copy has been perused very often. If you want a gift for someone who is associated with ranching or veterinary or just plain likes the western theme, this is the ticket.
