Delightful with every jar that hits the bar.,
This review is from: Coyote Run (Audio CD)
In what might be called a modern folk style Coyote Run's brings a collection of traditional and new songs that inspire and enchant. Sailing songs, barroom songs, Irish songs, whatever you like they are all here. You'll find yourself singing about "every jar that hit the bar" or those "smiling bastards lying to you every where you go" from Mary Ellen Carter. I loved it.

As someone who has heard both the CD's and Coyote Run perform live I have to say they are absolutely wonderful. On top of that you could not ask for a group of more open and friendly people to talk to. If you ever have a chance to see this group in person I would highly recommend the experience.

I do a 2 hr.radio show on a small community station in Lincoln Ne. I love this cd and their other one also. The music moves in a celtic fashion, but branches out. I'm enjoying playing it on my show. I've had positive feedback from listeners. Give it a listen.

This CD has got to be one of the best that I have ever heard. "THE DUTCHMAN" creates a movie in your mind and I found myself thinking about it for days. Every cut is pure perfection. I've taken this CD with me on a visit back home to New York City and played it for lots of friends after raving about it for weeks. Not one person thought that my "fanaticism" was unwarranted. Buy it and see for yourself!

This band has many beautiful ballad style songs to make the eyes misty, but when they get into the 'rockier' grit of their music you'll feel your spine jump a jig. I saw them live at Grandfather Mountain, North Carolina. Every single member is sweet, soulful and gives their all when sharing their talents. Collect all their C.D.'s to get the full flavor of this great group. I listen to them as I compose my novels and short stories.

Okay, I'll admit that I have had the pleasure of meeting this band, and even camped next to them at a festival. David Doersch has a previous album which is also well worth getting in my mind. You can find it on Amazon by searching for him. They are a wonderful folk/celtic band, with some really amazing talent. Many of their songs have either been written by them, or are adaptations of classics. If you get a chance to see them ..., please do. They put on a great show, and have a lot of other great songs and instrumentals that haven't made it on disc yet...
