Editorial Reviews

From Library Journal

This book, which updates the author's first autobiographical self-help work, Warrior Woman (Artists & Writers, 1991), is the second in a proposed trilogy. Le Marque, a painter in Santa Fe, aims to chronicle her struggles with life and creativity. She describes a world full of mystical illusions and spiritual experiences as she works to create the painting that ultimately appears on the cover of the book. The author is a good writer, and many of her journal entries are lyrical. In the end, however, this work remains the story of a somewhat self-absorbed, generally likable, and talented but obscure artist. Although it is meant to inspire others to take risks and to seek personal growth, it does not always achieve that goal. Buy only where demand warrants.?January Adams, Franklin Twp. P.L., Somerset, NJ

Review

Join Le Marque as she follows the spirit of Coyote on a wild, mystical, bare-bones gallop across the Souwest. -- Ellen Kleiner, Blessingway, 1998

Precision and lyricism are combined in such generous helpings...describing her return to Santa Fe, TLM illumines the path Home. -- Hugh and Gayle Prather, Authors Notes to Each Other and Spiritual Notes to Myself

Tina's blend of honesty, intuition, and mysticism is a unique experience and one that should be had by all. -- Mark Bryan, Coauthor of The Artist's Way at Work; Riding the Dragon

5.0 out of 5 stars A passionate glimpse into the life of a true artist., September 5, 1999

This review is from: Coyote Woman: A Continuing Journal of My Life As an Artist (Paperback)
What an inspiration this book was! Tina Le Marque has inspired me to search my souls deepest crevices for the same spirit this book contains and to transfer it to my own drawing pad. I applaud the author's art and talent as a writer, she had me in tears as well as laughing. After reading this book, I immediately read Tina Le Marque's first book "Warrior Woman" and give it the same applause. I thoroughly recommend this book to anyone who wants to ignite his or her own hidden creative spirit.

Every time I read the review from Library Journal I just cringe. There's more thorough information available (...), that may enable interested readers to make a more informed choice. Excellent for creative types or those who wish to follow the path of the artist or writer. The book still inspires me!
