Excellent book & a must have for coyote/canid appreciators,
This review is from: Coyotes: Biology, Behavior and Management (Hardcover)
This book is a compilation of some of the best work and writings of coyote researchers and experts throughout North America. No other book has attempted to capture the research findings of so many coyote biologists, ecologists, and managers in one text. It's a must-have resource for anyone interested in Canis latrans- and canids in general.

I wrote my master's thesis on coyote/human interaction in Marin County, CA. This book was a great resource on numerous facets of coyotes. Highly recommended along with many other articles Bekoff has published on this wiley creature.

If, like me, you hold the coyote in high esteem and have no sympathy for the sheep and cattle industry, you should pass on this book. A good 75% or more of this book's emphasis is on the "management" of the coyote, with graphic descriptions of its slaughter.

I would not recommend this book to anyone that hasn't had schooling in biology. My husband is big into preditor hunting, so he got this book to learn more about how the coyote thinks and works. We have both taken college classes and neither of us can understand this book. You would have to be an expert in the feild in my opinion to remotely understand its contents!
