As a novice quilter, I looked long and hard for a book with projects that didn't require tons of knowledge but would still be stunning when complete. This book was the answer I was looking for! Super simple piecing techniques, beautiful & unique designs, clear and complete directions- this book has it all. If you're a beginning quilter hoping to decorate your house, make someone a holiday gift to remember or just wanting to try something new, this is the book for you!

A great book! The instructions and illustrations are clear and very easy to follow. The quilts turn out beautiful and are not difficult to make. This book is ideal for both begining and experienced quilters! I highly recommend it.
Cute&crafty

It's not always easy to find quilt patterns suitable for contemporary décor or men's offices but this book fills that bill. Lots of crisp, geometric patterns made from simple squares and rectangles have great visual impact. The 23 projects include wall and lap quilts, table runners, and place mats.

The piecing for these patterns is easy enough for an experienced beginner but the end results look complicated. Well written with lots of illustrations.

This is a great book to use up scraps of material you have left over and the patterns are easy to follow. Her color choices are great too!

I don't often like to follow patterns because I find geometric designs are not free enough for my taste. But this book puts them together beautifully and imaginatively. I had trouble deciding which one to tackle first as there are so many I love. Great instructions as well.

Crazy Modern Quilts offers over twenty easy pieced projects to compliment any decor with sizes ranging from wall and lap quilts to table runners and placemats and directions using easy straight-line piecing. Sidebars of materials and easy directions on piecing and construction make for an easy presentation perfect for any general needlework library.

This is a fantastic book for beginners, and for more intermediate sewers, too! I suggest you look beyond the color schemes in the book and you can come up with some awesome quilts. The beauty of a quilt is not only in the pattern but in the material/color scheme you use. I tend to be a scrappy quilter and utilizing the mile a minute quilt assembly method can easily incorporate this into many of these designs, while creating harmony by using borders or a similiar patch here and there. This is a springboard for creativity!

The author's delightful "Flowering Quilts" is one of my favorites. Therefore I was very disappointed when I received this book. The patterns in this book are so simple (with the exception of two or three), that we have seen them elsewhere a thousand times. Many of the 23 projects' patterns are just a repetition in a different version/size, say as table runner or placemat. However, I agree that the projects are well described and really easy for beginners.
