I was surprised to see how strong the adhesive tapes were and was confident they would stick to both the wall and corks. Unfortunately two days later, I came home to find the mounting tape still on the wall and the cork tiles on the floor. The corks are so flimsy that they began to crumble when I tried to place them back. Better off buying an actual corkboard with a sturdier back and wall mounting brackets.

Yes, these mats are too thin by themselves, and yes, you need to buy additional double-sided adhesive to make it stick to the wall. That being said, these are still a great and cost efficient option. My first use was for a corkboard in my previous home. Once I purchased them, I realized they were too thin, so I doubled them up and made two separate square corkboards. They stuck and worked without crumbling for 5+ years until we moved. At our next home, I bought several sets with the intention of making a corkboard behind a desk where there were some outlets and such. This type of corkboard was the best option. Because it was so thin, I was able to easily cut it in to the shapes that I needed using a zacto blade. (I double it up again to make it thick enough.) Then after I had cut out all of my shapes, I covered my custom corkboard with burlap to keep the same brown/natural look.

If you want a corkboard that is more solid for a larger area, this is probably not your best option. But if you want something inexpensive or something you could easily use for custom projects, this is a great item.

The cork tiles come with mounting squares to attach them to the wall. The cork does not stick to the squares for more than 24 hours. I had to use nails to keep these tiles where they belong.

I bought these to use one square on the side of a storage unit I have on my desk, to use as a bulletin board for daily reminders/notes. It won't last long. I nailed it to the storage unit but had to use 2 squares, not one. One wouldn't hold a tack! I also notice that when removing a note, there's a permanent hole where the tack was. It breaks off easily and I expect in a year or so I'll have to find something better made. But the price wasn't bad and it works for now. I'm beginning to expect inferior quality these days and this product was right on target!

I bought this product after reading other reviews and keeping those in mind when I put it up. I does not stick to textured walls, even a small texture. I had to use a completely flat surface which I recalled in other reviews. It works great on that type of surface and under our state map, must use little push pins since it isn't real thick. Great purchase for small projects.

The tiles did not affix to the walls. The tape did not secure them and within a couple days they were peeling and falling. I had not even tacked items to the cork board before they started peeling. Don't waste your money.

At first I was skeptical cause all the comments, but I just figured, what the hey, I could just nail the tiles to that walls if the tapes don't work. Well, the tape holds up even though my walls are pretty textured. The tape is actually really strong. Maybe after all the complaints, they finally put stronger ones? Idk, but if anything goes wrong with the tape, nailing is down or even just pushing a pin all the way through to the wall works. If there was a photo option., I would include a picture. I painted the tiles red to match the kitchen area and it's lookin' pretty nice. The tiles are about a fourth of an inch. However, that's not a problem; the pins still stay on.
