From the Manufacturer

Like a comet from outer space, the Cra-Z-Art Lite Brix Building System - Space Trooper explodes with light. Build the coolest 3-D, light-up robot in space using Lite Brix lighted building bricks, which feature four color LEDs that come to life when you plug the battery power pack into the model. The building system includes special connector pieces to attach the Lite Brix to each other, so you can build the model on different angles, and translucent body armor pieces that glow with color from the LEDs. The pose able Space Trooper features realistic details, including a moving head, arms and legs and decals. Rebuild the robot into a second model, or add bricks from other building sets (sold separately), which attach to all Lite Brix. Batteries required.

The connections remain loose after assembly which makes the toy fall apart with the slightest movement.

We bought this toy as a gift for our 6 year old son. It looks a lot like a Lego Hero Factory figure which he really enjoys. If you are looking for a cool, fun, and interactive toy--look for something else. The connectors which are supposed to hold it together do not fit tightly enough to hold the pieces together. It literally falls apart. The lights only work if the battery pack is attached. The battery pack hold 3 AA batteries and is so heavy and cumbersome that my son cannot play with the "space trooper." The pack is so heavy it pulls the head and/or legs off of the trooper. Unless you plan on assembling it and leaving it stationary as a night light, don't buy this toy. This toy is a huge disappointment.

Things that are right:
1. NOTHING

Things that are wrong:
1. picture of item is NOT the same as received
2. with batteries inserted, still does not light up
3. parts break apart easily and does not stay together that mimics a robot

IF YOU ARE A SMART PERSON, DON'T INVEST ANY TIME INTO THIS ITEM. obviously I've learned my lesson!
VERY DISAPPOINTED....

We purchased 2 for our grandsons who are brothers. The pieces were too flimsy and not easily secured to each other. Arms & heads kept falling off at the slightest touch. Mom & grandma (myself) needed to put together and were both disapointed in the overall product. The kids have never played with them since. Waste of our saved Christmas money.

The toy falls apart very easily. It looks interesting but is nearly impossible to play with. The battery pack is heavy and does not clip on. Even without the battery pack, parts pop off when you pick it up.

This toy and the whole Lite Brix line aspires to be a combination of Legos and Lite Brite, but comes out as such a cheap knock off and fails miserably on both counts. Terrible instructions. These toys are obviously not meant to be played with, but rather put on a shelf and looked at because they fall apart so easily (pieces are attached by metal pegs - which are likely choking hazards, BTW). Yeah, try telling your 5 or 6 year old to not play rough with his toys. In all of the photos on the front of the box it seems like the toy is lit by an internal power source. NO - this is misleading. This is not the case. You have to attach a bulky battery pack to it by way of a separate cord so it looks like some sort of dialysis machine. We fortunately did not waste our own money on this junk.

I absolutely agree with everything written in the review below title "Huge Disappointment". I too have a 6 yr old that received this toy for a birthday. The connections remain loose after assembly which makes the toy fall apart with the slightest movement. As mentioned, you have to keep the toy plugged into the battery box which is provided with a very short cord that is not conducive to play. My son was very disappointed to find out that the box was not a "charger" and kept asking if he could unplug the box so that he could play with it. Then the arms fell off. Again. Don't waste your $ unless you found it in the $1 aisle.

Looked like a fun toy for our five year old grandson. We had trouble assembling it because it kept falling apart. He was fascinated by the way it flashed colorful lights. So was I! 😊 He has not played with it much because some of the parts simply will not stay together.
