I wanted this book in audio but since it wasn't available I was forced to actually READ it, as it was recommended by a friend. I'M SO GLAD I DID! This book sticks to the theme that sometimes life just isn't fair but the challenge of fixing it becomes a bigger issue and provides a moral to this story. This was tough subject matter but artfully written. I was overwhelmed with feelings of disbelief, anger, joy and fear. I found it heartbreaking but captivating. This book had an excellent plot premise, utterly gripping and spine tingling. It keeps you on your toes, wanting more, more, more. It's a story of sadness, joy, life, love, death and forgiveness. The story will embrace your heart, leaving you emotionally and spiritually fulfilled. This book reveals a certain truth to life on earth, that we all need to learn from our experiences, good and bad, and move on to the next bump in the road. This book was beautifully written, easily understood, but deep and absolutely chilling in places.

"Cracked hearts" kept me on the edge of my seat from the moment I opened the cover until the very last page. If you like romance and suspense - this is the perfect novel for you!

This has to be one of the worst books I've ever read. The plots were very disjointed. The dialog was horrible....I found myself thinking on many occasions, 'Who would talk like this??' The characters were whiney and carried on, sometimes for pages, and then totally change their tune! And whoever edited this book needs to be fired! Sometimes I couldn't tell who was talking as the quotation marks were either in the wrong place or not there at all. Words in the middle of sentences were capitalized, and when someone agrees with you, they nod their heads, not shake them! The only reason I read to the end was to see if the one character finally wised up and tossed her husband to the curb...I was disappointed. The ending was abrupt and there was no closure. Even $3.03 was too much to pay for this book...they should have paid me to read it!

I can't remember when I was affected by a book this much! The author lays open the frailties of the "over-the top" characters so lovingly that you're inclined to almost accept their human failings. The novels greatest strength lies in it's well-researched, beautifully detailed portrait of an extraordinary cast of multi faceted, flawed characters whose intersecting lives emerge, though scarred, from personal traumas. Amazingly touching! Incredibly suspenseful! Compelling, to say the least! A remarkable portrayal of the power of love to triumph over difficult circumstances! EXPERIENCE IT!!

Pirrung holds nothing back in painting a stark picture of dysfunction in this testament to resilience of the human spirit with its unwavering hope. You'll identify closely with the suffering of some of the characters. The consequences shape their world for the rest of their lives. Having greatly enjoyed reading her first novel, I Will Wait For You, I looked forward to her second effort with great anitcipation and I wasn't disappointed. The intricate plot twists and turns to keep you entranced and turning those pages. Powerful! Emotionally Wrenching! LOVED IT!

A great romance/suspense novel. Awesome twist at the end that you do not see coming! This author spends a lot of time on detail and the reader is better off for it. Book was given to me by a friend and I could not put it down...read it in a day and a half. Great find!!

"I thought it was there!" If you read the last page you'll understand. I couldn't put this book down. The Plot kept thickening and twisting. It just continued getting better as it went on. There is a lot of suspense and a lot of really interesting characters.

This is one of the most poorly written, poorly plotted books offered on Amazon. It is incredible that the author has ever taken an English course. If I could have rated this a zero, I certainly would have. Having taught English (MA degree) for 26 years, this author would not have passed my class (es) based on this book. Where was her editor???? Five stars????

This book was disjointed and difficult to follow. Even with holding a pet peeve of reading any book I have started, I gave up! The cover doesn't fit the story either. The effort to struggle through was just a strange experience.

This book was a real page turner. Is a must read....it has denial, suspense, love, betrayal and more. I couldn't put it down, the writer is amazing and makes you feel that you are a character in her book and living it. That is a sign of an excellent book and writer! I highly recommend reading this book....A+++++++
