4.0 out of 5 stars Crack-free heels without greasy hands!
I bought this after my Avon "Dry Patch Stick" ran out. Avon no longer makes their stick, so I needed to find a new brand. This one is smaller than the Avon one (both in diameter and length) and is also thicker. Like another reviewer pointed out, a little goes a long way. Yes, there are good lotions out there that could do the same thing, but I don't like getting...

2.0 out of 5 stars Not that great...
I am always walking around barefoot. Not a big fan of socks, except in closed toe shoes, hence the dry heels. I used this religiously every night for about 1.5 weeks. I put it on, then put on socks at night (this is torture for me, by the way). While it is working and my heels are nicer, this has not "healed" the cracks (which were and are not that great or noticeable)...

I bought this after my Avon "Dry Patch Stick" ran out. Avon no longer makes their stick, so I needed to find a new brand. This one is smaller than the Avon one (both in diameter and length) and is also thicker. Like another reviewer pointed out, a little goes a long way. Yes, there are good lotions out there that could do the same thing, but I don't like getting greasy lotion on my hands before putting cosmetics on my face.

Pros:

-It works! I put it on after shower before socks every morning. I have no painful heel cracks.

-It lasts a long time. I've used it for about 3 months and still have 25-30% remaining.

-You can apply it without your hands getting greasy.

Cons: (Reasons I did not give it 5 stars)

-Unlike the Avon stick or deodorant sticks, you have to push this one up with your finger and hold it in place. (mildly inconvenient and annoying)

-Slightly expensive

5.0 out of 5 stars LOVE IT! WORKS GREAT!!!, February 1, 2008
This review is from: Cracked Heel Repair Push-up Stick (Health and Beauty)
I got this on sale at Kohls for $6 during one of their sales. That's the cheapest that I have seen it. I have really cracked and dry heels so I thought I would try it. I love it! The cracks are seriously gone and I have used it almost daily for 2 months and I still have at least 1/3 left. I don't apply it to my whole foot, just the parts where needed. I put it on after getting out of the shower right before I put on my socks. You could put a ton on if you wanted, but a little goes a long way. I am going to stock up on this and give some to my sister too! It's great!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great health aid, May 12, 2009
This review is from: Cracked Heel Repair Push-up Stick (Health and Beauty)
Living and working on a ranch, my feet are constantly exposed to wet conditions and calloused heels often begin to crack and weep. This wonderful product takes care of those problems after just a couple of applications. Thanks for a great product.

It's great! I use it on my dog's feet for easy application without the grease. I wish stick was bigger.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not that great..., August 22, 2009

I am always walking around barefoot. Not a big fan of socks, except in closed toe shoes, hence the dry heels. I used this religiously every night for about 1.5 weeks. I put it on, then put on socks at night (this is torture for me, by the way). While it is working and my heels are nicer, this has not "healed" the cracks (which were and are not that great or noticeable). It's definitely made my heels look better but no "healing" there.
I have also been having trouble with an awful looking elbow for years (cracked, bleeding skin and nothing's been able to heal it). I put this on and it's helped tremendously. It healed in within a few days. The only trouble is that I have to keep on using it, otherwise the dry skin comes back.
I guess the skin on the heels is so much thicker that it may take longer to heal than the elbows. I don't know. I have used other products for my feet and they work just as well as this.
In the end, paying $9.95 for this little thing just to use on my elbows - I don't know that it's worth it. As for the feet, you can get a $2 tube from Walgreens and you're better off.

U P D A T E: Three weeks of continuous use, every single day, sometimes three to four times a day, has not "improved" my cracked heel (I only have issue with one). It still works for my elbow, but if I miss a day, my dry elbow comes back with a vengeance. I will definitely not be purchasing this again.

2nd UPDATE: I've been using this for almost two months now, as directed. I am almost out of this product and nothing has really improved. The cracks are still there (just softer looking). In fact, another issue has propped up; tiny bits of skin on the bottom of both my feet are "peeling off" so badly that it bleeds under them. I have stopped using this product and I am going to see a podiatrist. I don't know if it's a direct result of using this, but I haven't used anything else on my feet other than the heel repair.

2.0 out of 5 stars Tiny stick, January 23, 2008

This may be a very good product but I used half of it the first time I used it. It seems like it should be much larger to be able to use it for more than a few times. Also, the stick slides up and you have to use your finger to keep it slid up or when you put it on the stick slides down and won't go on. I'm not impressed.

2.0 out of 5 stars I was disappointed, June 4, 2009

First of all, the tube was much smaller than I thought it would be. The product that you push up to put on your foot is very soft so while you are applying it you have the problem of it smearing all over the tube and your hand. I'm not saying that it doesn't work. It does work. It's just a mess to apply. The reason I decided to get a solid to apply to my feet was because I didn't want to have to apply anything with my hands. This did not solve that problem. Actually, it's messier than if you just use a cream or salve out of a squeeze tube.

3.0 out of 5 stars For REAL problem feet, this may not help..., October 31, 2011
This review is from: Cracked Heel Repair Push-up Stick (Health and Beauty)
I've got serious problems with my feet and have for almost a decade. My heels split, crack, bleed and it is extremely painful. I've used this product many times since getting the stick and it helps only a tiny, tiny bit. The key is to apply it to heels that have been soaked, rubbed, scrubbed, pumiced, etc. Apply the product and then cover in an aloe-infused sock. If you don't do these things to your feet in addition to using this item, it does nothing for it. I do think the product works but not for SERIOUS problem feet.

I've been using this product for about a month now. I don't see any difference between this product and any of the others I've tried for dried, cracked skin. The search continues...

1.0 out of 5 stars Heeltastic doesn't work, September 29, 2009
By
This review is from: Cracked Heel Repair Push-up Stick (Health and Beauty)
I don't know if this is the same heeltastic that is advertised on TV, but I got my
heeltastic (as seen on tv) at Wallmart for about $11. It made my heels worst and left a dark crust instead. The stick itself is very oily and melts as you use it. I was able to return it for a full refund with my receipt at hand. Don't be fooled by these infomercials that promise you the moon.... This product DOES NOT WORK and in fact makes your dry heels worst. Save your money.
