I still perfer the AMSCO review text for the students to use in their preparation for the APUSH exam. However, "Cracking" provides instructor with extra quiz questions and practice exams.

It's a decent review book for what it's worth but you can definitely find a better one on the market. There is not much analysis but rather a brief summary of content area, which does not give you ALL the info you need.

It has everything you need to know. My only complaint is that it lacks to include dates for many many events. It also explains some things a little weirdly, so much that I end up having to research it online because the Princeton's way of explaining it was too confusing. However, it covers almost everything and should be a sufficient study tool on its own. Good luck everyone!

I bought this book at the beginning of the year to prep for my AP.
The details were broken down to be understood easily but!!!
A lot of stuff about the test though, was not covered. ;)

I am very happy with this book. it was soo brand new! I love it!!! I think it took less than 13 days to get it ... but I am very happy that I got it just in time. It had no highlighting nor any writing on it. It is not very heavy and it is very comfortable to carry it when you walk in the hallways ^.^
If you're taking AP U.S History (which is the obvious reason why you are buying this book) I recommend you to take notes on the margins and highlight everything that you dont know. However, dont just highlight and keep on reading. When you highlight something write a little comment summerizing what you just highlighted. (trust me. it will remind you why you highlighted that specific part and instead of reading an entire sentence you can just read what you wrote on the margin which would probably be less than 8 words instead of 20) :)

Shockingly the book came in great condition, recently took the ap test and it helped so much. It was shipped quickly. Anyways, if you need it to study last minute it's probably not good because there is just so much material it covers, practice exams and extra tips. It's amazing but you have to be a good "study" person. If you are cramming just get the crash course. Hope it helps.

My daughter loves this book, it fine tunes the materials from her text book and helps her study for tests. Since I got her this book she has received 90+ grades on quizzes and exams. Great tool for high school students taking college level courses.

Last year I bought this book for my APUSH Class. It helps a lot with DBQs and projects. It also has some great test taking tips. Deffinalty a good buy for anyone taking AP who wants that extra boost. Helps prepare you for the Exzam too:)
