Real answers for real questions,
By A Customer
This review is from: Cracking the Love Code (Paperback)
Most (if not all) of the current crop of "relationship" books rely upon catchy techniques which are thinly veiled lessons in manipulation and deceipt...not exactly what you would want to base a long-term relationship on. "Cracking The Love Code" is a realistic, common-sense guide to honestly understanding, communicating, and getting what we all really want and need. Not just for lonely singles, this wonderful book is sure to enrich any relationship, whether it has been going on for two days or two decades. If I'd had this book twenty years ago, I might have never gone through my divorce. As it is, it has sweetened the life I share with the woman I love, and left both of us infinitely happier. Three cheers for Janet O'Neal!

Works Like Magic,

This review is from: Cracking the Love Code (Paperback)
I had this book last 1998. Within a year, I got married. I recommended this to my single friends and believe it or not, they also got married within a year after having this book. There is something in this book that makes you become attractive from within yourself. It sounds incredible but it's true.

A pretty good book! Here is what I like about it:* It covers a lot of relevant ground, focusing on the important. * It is well organized. * It holds attention in a way that makes it easy to follow. * It has a balance between things that are well known and elements of novelty and insight (e.g. the concept of "switch"). * It uses good vocabulary and precision in meaning (I have the audio version of this book, and since I liked some of author's expressions I decided to get the paper version, so that I could underline and memorize those expressions). * It is read by the author with a pleasant voice and manner of speaking. * It's pretty accurate and honest, telling things as they are from both men's and women's perspective; and it is also objective in approach, I didn't notice any slant... * It's practical and usable. * Its overall attitude is positive, encouraging, and, unlike some other books, realistic. * It has a good energy, good personality; it feels like a friend. * It sounds interesting at second hearing as well. What I wish the author spent just a little more time on is: where and how to look for that special person. She said that you can meet people everywhere and that it's the easiest part; she actually offered some good ideas. But for me it happens to be a tricky part (finding good people to choose from), and so I wish there was more about that. Overall, I think this book deserves five starts: compared to others and in its own right. I'm sure that in 10+ years since it was published it has helped many people (i.e. those smart enough to find it). Ms. Janet O'Neal, wherever you are: thank you for writing the book. It's good!

What I want is Normal after all?,
By Morgan Wood "wallywood" (Cincinnati, Ohio United States) - See all my reviews

This book provides the comfort of knowing what other men want in women and what other women want in men. It might help single people searching for someone who is ready, willing and able to love in return. For married men, it reveals why your wife is so disappointed and frustrated, and offers hope at satisfying the needs she can't and won't express. Best of all it could help men and women express and explain their unmet needs, so that lovers have a better chance to meet those needs.
