2.0 out of 5 stars So many errors, February 18, 2006

I got this free from a friend, but if I bought a book I'd go for one with fewer typos, misdefinitions, and other errors because it can cause confusion and slow you down. Not to mention any and all the errors I missed and took for fact. I'm halfway through the book and am now constantly checking the book's claims against textbooks and the web. This may be "bad learning", but it's better than not brushing up at all for the MCAT.

5.0 out of 5 stars this book was great, April 30, 2010
This review is from: Cracking the MCAT with Practice Questions on CD-ROM (Graduate Test Prep) (Paperback)
Right now I am finishing my last year of Emergency Medicine Residency.A friend of mine is applying to medical school and she was wondernig what the best way to study for the MCAT was. I fondly remembered this book because while all the other stressed out anxious folks were paying for prep courses and such, I simply studied out of this book. I think i got scores of 31, 32, 33 (Took the MCAT 3 times). Although not spectacular but it got me into medical school. Prep courses are a waste of money. I do however remember that there were typos and errors in the book but in the whole scheme of things, it did not matter to me
