Editorial Reviews

Amazon.com Review

Cracking the SAT II: History Subject Tests includes in-depth instruction on skills covered by the History Achievements. It will then show you how to use that knowledge to quickly attack and answer test questions. This book covers the European and American History tests, for each of which a diagnostic is included. It will teach you to think like the test makers, find hidden clues in every question and avoid the traps that trick most students. --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

I bought this book because the other Princeton Review books I have read have been so helpful, unfortunately this one just did not measure up. I do not reccomend this book at all, don't buy it.

1.0 out of 5 stars Don't waste your money, January 10, 2004

This book did not help me prepare sufficently for the World History subject test. I studied the material in this book and took the diagnostic in the book. I scored a 630 on the diagnostic. The real test is nothing like the practice test. DO not buy this book.

3.0 out of 5 stars stuck in limbo..., September 18, 2005
This review is from: Cracking the SAT II: U.S. & World History, 2003-2004 Edition (College Test Prep) (Paperback)
I took the sat 2 us history test a month after the ap test. I thought I had enough prep from the ap class to take the sat 2 subject test. A few days before the exam, I casually looked at the book. It is a very quick review, that would not allow to score an 800 with just the book. With prep from ap and a few days of this book, I landed a 700 on the exam, which was a bit disapointing. It is not as bad as others have commented. However, it is perhaps not as great as it could be, thus I give this book a 3.
