This premium construction docking station was specifically made for latest generation Apple iPhone including, iPhone 1G, 3G, 3GS, iPod Touch 2G, 3G. It can technically be used for all iPod models and generations, Including iPod Video, Classic, Nano 1g/2g/3g/4g.

The new design includes the 30-pin AV out for that can be used with an AV cable (sold separately) to watch videos from your iPod to TV. This is only needed for the latest generation iPhone 3G, iPod Classic, iPod Nano 3G/4G, iPod Touch, Touch 2nd Gen that require you to use 30-pin AV cable for video output. The dock station also includes a 3.5mm AV out that can be used with older generation iPods for AV out, or for connecting your headphone/earphone to all iPod/iPhone models. When I use this cable and wall plug, the message on my iPhone 3GS is "!! Charging is not supported with this accessory." Save your money.

All I wanted when I bought this was a small, no-nonsense charging dock for my iPod Touch. For the price, this package looked like exactly what I needed: a usb-to-ac plug, usb cable, and the cradle itself. The fact that it had a line-out jack to hook to a stereo set was just something extra.

When I got it, it just didn't work. The iPod didn't even acknowledge the fact that it was supposedly connected to a source of power. Upon further inspection, it turns out that the cradle doesn't even fit my iPod, and I'm not using an iPod case. For the record, it's a 3rd generation model, which DBROTH's page here on Amazon claims to support.

So basically, save your time and money for use on another company's products, instead of this worthless garbage.
