I bought this as a replacement for the original that came with my Samsung Helix XM. My battery is now charging when it sits in the cradle. I'm glad they still have these around seven years later. The Helix still works, I just needed a way to charge the battery.

Works fine with my old XM Inno. I am using this to move quickly between various vehicles, rather than "at home" - though I have a similar/identical mount set up at home too. Combined with a Delphi 5 volt DC auto adapter for XM receivers, a Belkin Auto antenna for XM, (Both available cheaply here on Amazon), and a stereo male to male jumper cable (available anywhere), I have a simple temporary XM setup for any vehicle. This works well for me as we only listen to XM on occasional long trips, so it isn't cluttering up the dash most of the time. Fortunately, all of our vehicles have radios with a stereo AUX input these days.

The antenna works fine just thrown up on the dash, with only brief drop-outs in canyons, or perhaps passing large trucks when travelling northbound.

Not what I expected, but not Amazon's fault. First version would automatically recharge battery of radio unit when plugged in. Later version only would play the radio, but no recharge function. I thought (hoped) I was getting the earlier version that did a recharge.

It works, but not how I anticipated. You live and learn.

It did the job of holding the radio steady. I had the car version that did not work very well inside the house as it was not level on the bottom.
