CradlePoint Factory Refurbished MBR95 Wireless N 3G/4G Router - 802.11b/g/n Had an MBR1000 that was frequently disconnecting from the internet once I switched to a 4G modem (firmware was up-to-date). Replaced it with this refurbished MBR95 and am very satisfied. No disconnects, no having to log into router to get things working again. Product came with all accessories and has worked flawlessly. You can't beat the price.

At this price(42.99)and for the performance this is a super buy. Arrived in perfect condition and works with my Verizon 4G uml290 usb modem smooth as silk. I've been using a Cradlepoint mbr900 in a fringe 4G area with good results - 2/3 mbps up and downloads. Decided to try the later models at this refurb. price and am I happy! Now getting 10/14mbps download and 8/9 up consistently!!Don't know if older Cradlepoint had problem or if there just is better software in the newer model. Didn't think a router could optimize modem operation, but that's the only thing that changed in my setup and it makes 4G broadband service super. Only been a couple of days so hopefully it will maintain.

This is an excellent router that has allowed me to cut the cord with a standard DSL modem at home. Instead, thanks to the pass-thru WiFi feature, I am able to use a Novatel MiFi with Verizon's 4G LTE service and connect this router over WiFi to the Novatel modem to acquire the 4G LTE service. Then, this router can broadcast the wireless mobile broadband service over WiFi to other WiFi-enabled device. The truly useful thing is that with gadgets that don't support WiFi and can only connect via an Ethernet port, I can do that with this router as the Novatel MiFi unit doesn't offer Ethernet capabilities. So I use the pass-thru WiFi connectivity to get a wired Ethernet connection for those other gadgets.

I can also set up a guest WiFi network as well while keeping the main network secure. This unit does a lot and I can also connect to the Internet via a wired modem connection, 4G or 3G service via USB, or the pass-thru method mentioned above.

It allows me to be mobile and set up a mobile conference center while I am traveling for work.

Works fine with my Sprint USB WiMax Module but the signal is weaker than expected.
Anyway, works fine out of the box and looks like new.

I have put this router online and it works great with my mobile broadband internet provider, BMI.Net. You should upgrade the firmware, u_mbr95_2012_06_22 this will update your modem to 3.6.3 firmware, which is the latest update. You can get this
by searching on the web, for MBR95 firmware update. Also Download the istructions
for this, as it takes awhile to install the firmware. Mine works well and I am extremely happy with the secure Wi/Fi channels that come from the router. All of my computers work in the house on WI/FI from this router. Also have a Dell tower that
I have connected with CAT 5E Cable, you need reverse connectors to make it work.
Do Not make straight through connectors. I make all my own connectors. Good Luck.
This is a great price also. And Free Shipping.

I can count on one hand the number of times I've bought a refurbished product. It's actually hard to find a good company that takes refurbishing their products seriously enough to, when you get the product, make you believe in both form and function that you just bought a brand new product. It's truly one of those moments where you get it, open it up, plug it in, and when it works flawlessly, you almost look around to see if you somehow accidentally got away with something because you got such a great deal.

Bravo to Cradlepoint for not only a great product, but making sure the overall buying experience was great. From the time I opened the box to the time I was online with my Verizon 4G USB551L modem was about 7 minutes, maybe a little less. The router was packaged as brand new. The box it came in was obviously the box the router was meant to be housed and shipped in (i.e. - not a dismal repackage job). All the components were there -- router, power adapter, network cable and instruction guide -- again, all looking brand new. Even the router itself still had the thin plastic protective covering over the glossier surfaces of the router (specifically the display/power panel on the front of the router). Set up was easy. I literally plugged my 4G modem into the USB slot on the back, plugged in the power adapter, turned the router on, connected it to my desktop via the network cable (connected to a LAN port -- one of the yellow ports on the back of the router), and that was it...I was online. Because it's also a WiFi router (b/g/n) it has all the necessary security features for setting up your WiFi network -- which works great as well. Just follow the instruction guide to do so and you'll be set.

I had previous version of this vendor router that works with usb cell/mobile cards. Since this unit had the option of allowing "Internet over WIFI", I decide to get this since the refurbished pricing was really inexpensive. I already had MIFI card through AT&T and when hurricane sandy knock out Cable ISP, Sprint Internet and AT&T Internet services and I saw Verizon had 3g service, i decide to get ipad with lowest month-to-month plan since Verizon offer hotspot service for free as part of their plan of service. I have been testing these different cellular vendors throughout my travels for cellular hotspot ISP services and it all depends on location with each vendor what works and what speeds you get.

So when someone broke the cable ISP splitter in the neighbor and except for myself with Internet, everyone's cable Internet, cable VOIP and TV was waiting on cable company to fix the outside service. All I had to do was turn on AT&T MIFi (faster Internet than Verizon) and the router connected automatically. When I saw I was getting close to my AT&T monthly limit, I switch over to iPad hotspot until the cable ISP was repaired.

So my suggestion is buy this router for "Internet over WIFi" option and when your Internet service goes down, turn on your hotspot option through your cellular phone/tablet for 1 - 2Gigabyte additional cost for month and use this for Internet in the household until your wired ISP is fix if you still need to use the Internet on your household LAN.
