I'm new to bike commuting and am committed to riding throughout the winter. Hence this purchase. I bought these because I wanted the touch-screen compatibility. Having said that, these do NOT work for that feature. It may be my phone case, not sure. I'm a woman with very fairly long fingers, but there is too much material at the ends to properly use a smart phone. However, having said that, the finger length is just right when riding with my drop bars and shifting. There is also enough room for a pair of liners and the wrist adjustment allows for ease in putting on and taking off of the gloves. I've ridden in the 30s (day and night) and my hands stayed warm during my two hour commute. I also rode home in a rainstorm with extreme wind gusts at about 45 degrees and my hands were dry and warm. For the price (just at $40) these were a good purchase, particularly for the windproof and waterproof qualities. My local bike shop had last years model at nearly $10 more so I'm happy with what I paid on Amazon, plus I got free shipping. I would definitely recommend these to anyone who likes to bike in cold weather.

I got this set of gloves for three reasons:
1) Color scheme looks pretty good
2) It should keep my hands warm
3) Metal fingertips for using a smart phone

Well, I'll give it two stars for looking pretty good. The globes are pretty well made with good attention to detail, especially around the fingers.

It all starts to go wrong from there, though. First, the sizing is a little too snug - I usually take a medium glove, but I should have got a large in these. Next, as another reviewer noted, these aren't winter gloves. They're not going to keep your fingers toasty for a day in the cold or snow. They're better as wind protection on an Autumn day. Last, the metal fingertips are not nearly as effective as others I've tried. The metal pieces need to be smaller so that the phone can actually interpret them as a finger. These pads are too large, so the screen just doesn't really pick it up at all.

Use these gloves for cross country skiing. They are mid weight for warmth, high quality and comfortable. Fit is very slightly on the small side,so I may not be able to wear glove liners in colder weather.

My new favorite winter sports glove! Good insulation. Breathes well, does not get clammy like some windproof/waterproof gloves. Great dexterity. I have bought many Craft products now. Every one of them are worth the extra price paid.

My first ride with these gloves turned out to be a freeze fest. Ride started at 34 degrees and the temperature dropped soon after to 28. My fingers got cold and stayed that way until the air temp rose above 45.

Fit is close. They are tight on the fingers and hands. Dexterity is good. Was able to pull a gel out of my bento box, open it in the usual way, fold the empty and get it back in the bento with the glovers on. The fingers work on an iPhone too.
