Editorial Reviews

Amazon.com Review

Adhesives may seem a fairly minor component in a craft project, but they can greatly affect the appearance and durability of the finished product. There are literally hundreds of different glues available, so how do you know what's best for each application? Complete with brand names for all glue types, here is a book to answer that very question. From the myriad white glues and paper glues to hot glues, super glues, epoxies, and specialty adhesives, this guide thoroughly explains how to choose the right glue for any project. All of this information is presented with humor and clear line drawings. Perhaps even more important, the explanations may spark ideas for variations on existing crafts, and there are a number of mini how-tos for a wide variety of specific projects.

Review

Glue crafting for a variety of applications is covered in a series of step-by-step instructions for producing everything from kids crafts to jewellery. The heart of the title lies in its discussions of adhesive qualities, contrasting different adhesives with projects using them to best advantage. -- Midwest Book Review

This is one awesome book!!! All I knew about was super glue, hot glue, Fabri-Tac glue. Before reading this book, all glues were alike but she explains in detail what is best for the craft you're working on. I have several crafts where I use glue but all glue is not equal. For instance, when gluing stones on fabric, she explains which is best for the type of project you're working on. I glue Swarovski stones to my embellishments and hot glue or Fabri-tac glue is not good for this type of project.

Also, if you make your own shoes, she explains what type of glue is best for your shoes. My husband repairs a lot of the families shoes and we no longer take our shoes to the shoe repairman.

Thank you Tammy for such a well written book.
