K-Gr 3-Clever craft ideas, based on the first portion of Genesis, show how to make items representing the earth; night and day; the sun, moon, and stars; land and water; plants and flowers; birds, fish, insects, and animals; and people, stressing God's love for them. Each craft has an illustrated list of the needed materials and easily understood, step-by-step directions. Activities include the making of hand puppets, jewelry, dioramas, and button animals. Some would be best used as teaching aids, but all would be appropriate for children to make and enjoy. The crisp, brightly colored cartoons are clear and helpful. This book would be a good addition to public and Christian school libraries, though some of the crafts, such as those calling for gloves, socks, ties, and certain decorative items, may be beyond the budgets of most Sunday-school teachers.-Patricia Pearl Dole, formerly at First Presbyterian School, Martinsville, VA
