K-Gr 4-Twenty-eight clever and original designs illustrate a variety of Christian qualities. A loving heart beanbag, a bank for generous giving to missions, a bookmark to honor parents, a mealtime blessing book, a jar to fill with gratitude notes, and a mustard-seed necklace to encourage faith in God are among the crafts included. Each one has an appropriate Scripture quotation to reinforce its stated purpose. Cleanliness, perseverance, self-respect, thankfulness, compassion, empathy, courage, and patience are among the other virtues represented. The necessary materials include readily available items such as yarn, old socks, white glue, pipe cleaners, wiggly eyes, sticky notes, cans and jars, macaroni craft letters, poster paints, etc. The simply written, step-by-step directions are divided into "you need" and "what you do." Each project is clearly illustrated with cheerful ink-and-watercolor cartoon-style pictures. The type is well spaced, the format crisp and attractive. (Unfortunately, "psalm" is misspelled on one page.)
