This review is from: Crafts For Kwanzaa (Holiday Crafts for Kids) (Paperback)
Kwanzaa is a celebration of the African roots of Black Americans. It is relatively very young, having been started only in 1966. However, the principles of Kwanzaa go back many centuries to celebrations that Africans performed before they were captured and turned into slaves. This book is a collection of twenty different craft activities suitable for the early middle or elementary school child. It is an ideal activity book for teachers of social studies in the elementary years. The instructions are easy to follow, and the results will delight the children. It is also a good resource for leaders of Brownie, Girl Scout and Boy Scout troops. The inexpensive nature of the materials will make it easy for all to use. |
